Jardine Question

I have the Jardine RT-1 blah blah blah, but I was looking at the pictures of the 1000RR Jardine, and noticed they're a lot larger oval can. Is this a race team perk, or is it just a different can for the 1000? Here's some pics..........

lol...then keep living in the dream world.

Why would they run a sticker????

because jardine PAYS them to.

read this link and you will see what really is going on...

"As we were wandering with our bibs strapped on to catch the drool, we came across the factory Honda trailer…and the tailgate was open. As we got closer it became apparent that it was Nicky Hayden’s trailer / crew. What I saw next was pretty disappointing and moreso disingenuous…not illegal, but a little grey in my book.

We saw a guy open a box of Akrapovic mufflers (yeah the Titanium ones) and take a heat gun to the side. Hmmm…take a heat gun to the side of perfectly new muffler? Well as we were standing there un-noticed, the guy peeled back the Akra sticker and replaced it with a Jardine sticker. I nudged Jim and asked quietly “did you just see that?”. He did. At that time we now became noticed. The tech then scurried into the trailer and lifted the tailgate."

because like vizsladog said jardine pays them to. If you go to Jardines website, one of their most noticeable statements says that Jardine pipes are used on the bikes from the Honda factory racing team. When people are watching these races they dont know for sure its a Jardine pipe on those cbr's, but as long as the sticker says it, it works

I'm not trying to debate whether it's really a Jardine or not, I'd just like for Jardine to make one as big around as the one in the picture it. Looks nothing like an Arata to me, either.

"why would a team that puts a jardine sticker on the bike not use a jardine pipe. if it where an arata then why wouldnt they put a arata sticker on the bike"

Coz they pay them to? Haha I am amazed at how many people are amazed that this happens. If an exhaust manufacturer wants to pour money into a race team for advertising, where are they gonna wantthe name of their product? On the muffler. Now, if they aren't up to the task of making exhausts to the performance standards that other pipe manufacturers are what is the team gonna do? Exactly............. use what they want with a Jardine sticker. It's been proven 100 times, and some people on other forums that are involved in AMA etc have said the same thing, they are not Jardine pipes. Now, if you still believe they are............. ask why they are making systems etc that work very well for race teams but produce made to price systems that don't work real great for you to buy on the back of and under the pretence of how they are marketing themselves to you. LOL

In Moto GP, I haveheard from some, that the Honda RCV's are only allowedby Honda to use Elf oil. Dunno how true that is, but if it was, how many here buy Repsol oil coz Honda's factory team use it in GP? And, for those that have ever been in thepits, how many used or full Repsol barrels etc have you seen floating around? Racing for sponsors is purely a business, nothing to do with what is actually being used. It's product by association. You see a bike, it has a system on it, on that system is a sticker, "Jardine", what do you now assume they use?

Fair enough, so why can't whoever IS making that can produce one that large around for the public consumer? All I want is a can that large, I don't care who makes it.
