leo vince 8280 questions

so i received this exhaust on sale through some honda dealership in penn. (yay me) anyways the original box was damaged and was sent to me in a diff box and i was just wondering if these indents were normal? or is it damaged?

has em on both ends of the exhaust which makes me think it's normal but i still find it a bit odd

small opening between clamp and exhaust, dunno if this is normal either or to put some high temp silicone or something?

and last question, after removing the db killer do you put the screw back in? no real point right? just put the rubber cover back on im assuming.

sorry for all the noob questions, im just a bit of a worry wart when it comes to my bike, thanks for the responses in advance
