Whenever I see big purchases/upgrades (many performance) I wonder why a customer/owner didn't buy a 1000cc bike in the first place?

What's everyone's input on that....

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought those exhausts are REALLY pricey?

Ok so what do you have to say when a guy on a 1000 makes these same purchases?

if I wasn't looking to buy an E30 M3 right now... I would DEFINATLY sell my akra slip on and buy one of these. I think I will save the money for my car... I have about 2k I want to invest in my car once I get it not including wheels and all I really need for my bike is a power commander and custom map.

Maybe a little late, but maybe I can give you some insight on that.. First, I got two 1000cc bikes. Love the 1000cc bikes. The RC51 is my track bike. However, I am going all the way with this track/race thing, and decided to purchase a brand new bike to be my track/race bike. For the street, 1000cc, sweet, for the track, unless you are a super duper expert rider, the 600cc class is the weapon of choice.

Lighter, more flickable, and a lot of other things that 1000ccs don't have..

I think like you.. I am 6'3" and I don't look good on my brand new 600rr, it looks small. On the street, while I was braking it in, people would say, nice bike, I say it ain't mine!! :)

But, I am putting almost 3 grand into this bike, and it AIN'T for looking good, it is to make it go around the race track as fast as I can.. That is why we get 600cc class bikes..

Exhaust being pricey, no they are not, you get what you pay for!! :) Example, get a no name slip on.. for a couple hundred bucks, or get a sweet full system for four figures. :) Your choice.. :)

And this chit is coming from a 65 year old too...
