Question On The Fence? Hamaguchi Or Arata??

Well its decision time and im on the fence BIG time about what exhaust system to buy. Its between the Hamaguchi and the Arata. Both offer big time weight savings and and peformance gains. This is primarily a street bike but i am going to see the track a dozen or so times this year. I put the order in for the Arata because they are still unavailable at this time ...The Hamaguchi is available and a few hundred cheaper.....Help ?? Opinions??? Thanks!

man i gotta tell u, the arata may be the best mod pwerwise but the hamaguchi is a work of art, i saw one on a 600RR this weekend, they are beautiful... the arata does not look as good as the hama... and for them looks i can pass on 2 or so hp.

No more mod listing, shits is STILL too long

Ask yourself what's more important: power gains or looks?

You'll definately get more gains out of the Arata (there's been many discussions and a few posts of dyno charts showing that the Hamaguchi is not comparable to the Arata),

BUT, if your going to looks, with modest gains (you'll get responses of poor gains, especially for the money, from certain individuals on this board), go for the Hamaguchi.

This comparison has been sought over and over again. I went with the looks and have ABSOLUTELY NO REGRETS!!!

Arata all the way. I like how it fills in the tail section with it's oval shape. The Arata is top notch quality too.

Get the Arata. Hama doesn't have nearly as good of gains if any as Arata.

Power gains are not a big concern for many people DenBoe. A lot of guys just like to buy stuff for looks and if there happens to be a performance gain then that's just an added bonus.

Personally I think the Hama is sexy but for the track I would probably chose an Arta over the Hama.

But atm my top choice is an Akrapovic

I havn't really done much research simply because I'm going to be racing the Stock class this year but next year I'll be going all out.

That sexyness is being put on my bike this Saturday. As for your choice on chosing the Hama, as long as you're not chasing hp I don't think you will be dissapointed. The system looks/sounds great.

+1 on the arata as well.

why spend $1k+ just for looks.

we have slip ons for that for half the price.

That last line you wrote should tell you which one. How come one is unavailable, and cost more? Because people are after that one, and supply and demand, got the price higher..

BTW, I got the Arata, full system, with black can. It is the living chit in looks, fit, and sound. But, to each their own. I am sure the Hami owners feel the same way about the hami..

And exhaust war!! this is all I need..

I had to respond to this. No way under our sun, or another planet's sun does the Arata look anywhere near a yosh.

Pics to prove it, don't have to tell you which one is the Arata..

Than you can take a look at the Arata up against the hami too..

I like the craftsmenship and elegance of the hama but the brutal effieciancy and race spec appeal of the arata gives me goosebumps as well. So I bought an Arrow Full Ti Competition system... looking forward to putting it on.

my vote is for the hamaguchi. quality is the BEST i have seen thus far on any full system. the welds are something to die for. the install is NO HASSLE. the is FRIGGIN LIGHT!!! it is FULL TITANIUM!! the sound is GP GOODNESS!!! you just can't get a better BANG for the BUCK for under $1K. get a PC3 and get it tuned correctly... and you'll be one happy camper.

call us if you want one... we have them for all the latest model bikes.

cheers... nick - mri
