PCIIIusb Faceplate buttons.....low,mid,high????

are you supposed to do anything with the 3 front buttons on the PCIII? or just leave alone? what do they do? i'm referring to the LOW, MID, HIGH RPM range buttons.

They can be used to adjust the fuel mapping but it does so in wide ranges. (i.e. 0-5k rpm, 6-10krpm, and 11-15krpm) I prefer to alter the map IF I choose to in the PC software instead of using the buttons. It's basically a user back-up if you don't have a computer.
