Are you talking about the TPS connector? I used a small but long screwdrive to release it and did the same to seat the PCIII connector..

If its one of the FI just walk away for a few and try again should come off like the other...

teamstinkin... go to powercommander.com and find the instalation instructions. print it and go from there.
Its really clear and has pics...

You should have 5 connectors, the one that look a little different form the the rest is the TPS connector (throttle position sensor)

After connecting, zero, or reset the Throttle position to match what your bike's idle position is... Also very easy and instructions on the site, all pdf format.

From there, just make sure you download European model specific software.
I guess there is a slight difference, who knows.

Asl Paul if he'll let you try his map...
If you have any problems you can PM me or post it on here.

wire tap? dude its a plastic plug similar to the ones for the injectors.
the only wire i can think of is the ground that goes to the battery terminal.

Are you looking at the right instructions.

The wiring is the same, but the pre days of the PCIII for the 03-04's they supplied a scotchlock tap. Around late summer of 04' they switched to a harness connector for the TPS. If you don't believe me you can search this forum for people installing their PC3's with the tap...

right ive done it !!!

....but what i haven't done is remove the bracket to put the pc III harness under, so the seat goes back on flush. the reason i skipped this is because the nuts underneath are so hard to get to, and when i do get them off how, do you get them back on???? its so tight, that you can't place the nut underneath to put the bolt through?

any ideas cos one nut has already dropped down into the plastic mould, never to be seen again!

yeh mine had a 'wire tap', weren't too bad, my 1st throttle body connector was the one i couldn't get off! headwork, just wouldn't give!

^ the lights are normal..
if they ALL go out with the engine worry, then u have a problem.
You need to set the 0% throttle position, download the fuel accelerator and then find a map to your liking.

Try some different maps that match your bikes configuration. (i.e. slip-on, air filter...etc) Disregard the name brand. Find one that works the best for you until you can have it mapped.

wise words being spoken... ive tried several maps, right now im running a map for an Arata s/o an dit is bad ass, mad torque and pull, i tried a map for a sato s/o and that thing has less torque down low, pops less, but pulls like a freight train at the top end. both better than the BS map on the site, so try different ones, ask members to email you maps to try and find the one you lie the best untill you can get it mapped.

panic stations !! ive had my plastics back from paint & have started to put my bike back 2gether.

only when i have gone to wire up my tail light, no power is goin to the rear, the connectors i mean.

so i pulls it off, tries my old light to make sure it isn't the new that is faulty, that doesn't work either, so defo, no power goin there.

whats worse is i turn my ignition on and my electronic display (clocks etc) isn't workin either.

im really paniking now, ive just fitted a power commander, may b its that?
shall i disconnect the battery to see if it will reset everything?
check fuses? where are they?

help please!!

ok, you plugged in the taillight and turned the ignition on and nothing happen?
Any other lights out, turn signals?
maybe you had the power on at some point in the install and blew a fuse.
Fuses are on the left side under the plastic, kinda under the left intake tube.

mayb, tha fuses are in the black casing? i'll check on my cd rom manual 4 sure.

does the bike shut down things in priority? like saving the headlights till last cos u would obviously need them in the dark or does it all go at the same time? im wondering if the battery is just low.

the head lights are on, tail light isn't niether will indicators front or rear go on with it, and it starts sometimes so i get the impression that the battery is kinda healthy.

fuse sounds about rite

i dont know how it works, but certain things are wired together, i blew the display fuse once and if i remember right the headlights still worked, and i still heard the injectors, but the display was dead.

Yes its in a little box, about 8x4x5cm cant miss it, rubberlike cover is a biacth to get back on.

Let us know what happens.

If nothing is powered up check the main 30amp fuse under the seat behind the battery. Do you have the Power Commander instructions?

Check your wiring again for the short. Ignore the blinker rate for now and find the short. You probably don't have enough resistors or a large enough resistor. The blink rate is so fast that it appears solid. How did you wire the resistors in?

tail light 1st then, it plugs straight in for the brake light. then ive got a brown/ blue either side for the indicators. so ive looped the resistor from brown to blue and then tried the single wire off the tail light each side. u follow?

the resistors in a 50 what ever it reads in for the front, they supplied only 20 for the tail light so it must be enough?
