Exhaust heat shield question (Side one)

Can someone explain to me how to put the side heat shield back on? I can only figure out how to mount up at one place (by the right passenger foot peg). I bought the bike with a Jardine RT-1 already installed and I’m trying to return it to stock. I managed to swap in everything except for that darn side heat shield. Oh yeah it’s an 2005 if that matters.

TIA!!!!

Ha, when I was working on my bike this winter I probably went through an entire 6-pack and a tin of Skoal before I figured that part out. If I remember correctly it bolts onto the rearset. I'm not positive but pretty sure.

send me your email & I can send you our instructions sheet. If you can just think in reverse from what the instruction sheet is saying, it may shed a lot of light on the situation for you...
