Tuning Difference

Does the type (manufacturer) of slip on you get really matter if you get it tuned? I know the quality will be different but if you get any slip on, a PC3 and then get it tuned the power curves will all smooth out and the peak power will get a little bit better, wont it?

they still all flow differently. if it didnt matter which one everyone would have the oem pipe. when u tune it ur just getting the most out of the pipe that u put on. if u just want smooth buy a PC3 and get it tuned for the stock exhaust it would prb still smooth it out

It varies from bike to bike, (as in, make and model) some bikes pretty much all slip ons give roughly the same power and you're just looking at what you like personally and quality, (or noise if you're that way inclined) etc etc. On the 600RR's, with 5 different slip ons, you prolly won't notice the difference, other bikes you can get alot from the right slip on and not much from others. Full systems is where the differences really show up. Hope this helps.
