Adjusters during Fork seal change

Ive read the entire 8 page fork seal thread by Jim Moore, and have read through the Honda shop manual, but I still need some clarification.

I have spun ALL of the adjusters on the forks 100% soft, and now am preparing to put everything back together after new seals/oil. I’ve read posts that indicate that I should now spin the adjusters back to hard before putting things back together, and I’ve seen where I should leave them soft. The Honda shop manual makes no mention of any changes, so I wanted some clear opinions.

‘08 and everything is 100% stock in the forks should that make a difference

for those that search this in the future....

I ran the adjusters all to full soft, then made sure the lock nut was 11mm from the top of the shaft before reinstalling the fork nut. After that, I had a full range of adjustability after reinstall....
