Gear driven shaft came out along with clutch cover?? - 600RR.net

Gear driven shaft came out along with clutch cover??

My clutch pin on my 03 rr snapped while stationary , had the garage collect and strip down to find the cause (snapped pin) I asked if I'd been moving would it have wrecked anything..... The mechanic didn't reply but did say that on removing the clutch cover a gear driven shaft came away too ,... Is this normal ???

Yes. Its just an idler for the starter gear set.

yeah it's probably the one that the cable tie is pointing at in this picture. It just sits in place, make sure he puts the crush washers back on in the correct order if he took them off/if they fell off
