Hi guys I have noticed my bike 05 cbr rr with 10000 miles on it has developed a ticking noise.I've pin pointed roughly where the ticking is coming from, just behind the tool case.my first thought is cct would anyone else agree with me on this.and if so how much am I looking at to get it replaced or tightend .cheers guys.

If memory serves, theres been quite a few discussions here about the CCT.

If you search through the board a bit Im sure youll find what you need.

If you dont want to be at the mercy of someones response.

ya mine is noisy too. 25k miles i guess parts start to wear. ive checked everything and found no issues anywhere. i just let it tap, on mine its most likely the clutch damper springs

My 05 is just a noisy, rattling, and clicking bike. Moreso than my kawi and zuki were. Years of race/track duty without issue.

When you have a motor between your legs you are going to hear it. If you want something quiet get an electric motor.

Could be a valve or lifter tick, (metal on metal). Try adding lucas oil motorcycle oil stabilzer next time. Makes a world of difference in your lubrication
