Performance Radiator for an open wheel formula racer

Hey everyone, I'm working on a formula car right now and we're using the engine from a 2008 600RR with 16K on it. I was wondering what a common radiator is to use with this engine (other than the stock one) and would there be any with obvious advantages over others in a high performance setting (i.e. weight)

no such thing as a common one, but if i were you I would look at what the people winning are using.

in our fsae car we used a radiator half the size as everyone else's AND had no fans AND had the t-stat so we could actually get the car warm enough to race in short time. As long as it didn't sit for more than a few minutes and airflow was being channeled to the radiator and engine/rear difuser everything was good. The hotter it got, the faster it ran. Oil temps topped out at 240'ish *F. Made me remember how grossly oversized oem radiators are... but they do it for a reason.. for when you're sitting in LA traffic at 160000*F outside.

sorry, you split lanes in LA : P

pics of your racer?
