Bike topping out at 70 mph at 7000k rpm

The bike rides find on all gears lower then 6th gear. On 5th I can hall-$&@ to 70-80 mph. On 6th gear the bike won't go be on 70 and sounds like the bike is redline but rpm is only 7000-7500k. The bike did sit for three years. Did oil change new battery coolant flush brake flush fuel was drain out and new fuel add. Rode around for two hours to see how the bike preform before riding it long distances. Please help.

-fighting chance. Thanks for for the tip. But I don't think that's it cause the fuel and filter was changed and flushed. Kinda sounds like that but mine doing it at 70 mph. It almost sounds like a rev limiter but my bike is a usa spec.

So I took it to a dealer and they couldn't find out why it did that. Gonna have to take it to another dealer closer to home. Didn't get to ride the whole vacation time when I was down in Florida.

Start the bike. Put in neutral . And Rev it.

if the needle is bouncing around 7 to the 8k rpm.
You may have a bad fuel pump.

I had that issue
