Cam shaft 180 degrees out of phase?

Im trying to do my valves but it looks like my cam shaft might be 180 degrees out of phase.... where the shaft meets the sprocket. is that even possible? or would the engine just blow up if you put it back together like that and tried to start it? when i put the engine at the "t" mark and the rear sprocket reads "in" the number 2 intake valves seem to be ready to be checked instead of the number 1....

my mind is blown....

You won't be able to install it out of phase very easily, you'd have to open the valves as you installed it.

Rotate the crank another 360 degrees back to the T mark (its actually the | mark next to the T you want). The crank rotates twice for each full cam sprocket rotation. I believe you start TDC compression stroke for number 1. When you are there cam lobes for number one look like this : \o o/
