2006 cbr600rr engine

Does this look correct ? Does any one know if I need a gasket or am I suppose to bolt it back on without one? Will post picture

That looks more like a leaking valve cover gasket that someone rtv'd...

That's smothered in silicone sealant, someone's been lazy not putting the cover & gasket the right way.

yea, looks like hondabond or RTV smeared onto a leak. use your fingernail and see if it's soft.
