crash repaired leather business thinking of starting will it work?

Hey Friends,

so I am thinking of starting a repaired leather business, here is the plan,

get some leathers with repairable damage, repair it and then get them to people for a good price, 200-300 dollar range, newcomers, people just starting out, family types, you know try to get people in 1 pc suits when they wouldnt be able to, on the street it doesnt compare to protection, so I of course will try to just deal in perfd suits, and suits of good quality, mainly dainese from 2001-2007 maybe 08, since they moved production and changed the leather supplier and the process (adding wax silicone, suppose to be for strength, i have my opinions after reading the patent) TS taichi if I can, spidi, top A*, you know,

so what do you think, will it work??? would people buy crash tested suits that have been repaired, of course quality work, I have ran a few businesses, but this I really enjoy,

well let me know what you guys think,

I have a thread with some of the suits Ive done, you will most likely have seen or will see, i would also do repairs, but again at decent prices, I have had quotes and people are nuts, haha,

thanks!!!

possible names,

battle tested leathers,
battle DAMAGE
born again leathers,

haha

Go for it, born again leathers sounds good

"For me, the problem is that big part of MotoGP riders now are pussies,"Rossi declared. "In the past, this is normal, the riders were more like real men. Now it is more like they are children."

Yeah I was thinking about that, the repairs would mainly be small seams and rash recoloring,

I was thinking for the seams I would take video of me trying to rip it apart, or some sort of weight test on it, like some weights, if they werent local I would want them to be confident in it,

still working that one out, but open to ideas,

If you can add kangaroo leather mods to that you will win. Kangaroo leather wears 10 times better than cowhide leather for the same thickness. I've already contacted RS Taichi to add that to their suits.

They are already using kangaroo in their gloves, Im sure they are looking into using roo for the suits, they are big on single panels so that may be the hang up,

Im pretty sure they know what they are doing with their cows though, they are the samurai!!!!!!

I can do repairs on those, but it would be with cow hide at the moment, Not enough roo coming my way to buy supplies,

Thanks! I was wondering what gloves to buy from them. I've heard a lot of good things about KNOX. Best part is, since I am an RS Taichi dealer I can guy my own jacket/gloves...etc at cost lol. So I am getting a jacket (textile) gloves, and tough FICS back protector for the MSRP of the jacket I want!

NOTE: I can not sell you (anyone who see's this) any products...yet

True, but you can gift me a Rs taichi EVO suit as your west coast connection, silicon valley SF bay area satellite partner
