I got mine just by following a car and then hitting a pretty rough/bumpy spot of road. Shook like hell for a few seconds

My first nasty one on the 600RR happened the first night I got it. I was drag racing from a stop and when I shifted to second I hit a bump in the road. It was a good round of 'lock-to-lock' action, but I've had worse!

I got mine when rolling hard on the throttle and going across the transition onto the nascar track at homestead. Wasn't a really bad wobble, just a definite head shake that probably looked cool as hell haha

I came down hard off of a wheelie and tank slapped so hard I sheared the pin off of my Scotts damper on my 929. On the track, you can slap if you crest a hill on a straight if your damper isn't set correctly.

Dampers == Good. I don't think I had a single slapper on my F4i or 600RR race bikes.

Coming around turn 10 at Summit Point Main hard on the gas I spun the rear tire and had a nasty tankslapper but recovered thanks to rolling back on the throttle and steering damper. Nearly **** my pants though feet off the pegs in the ear wish I had it on film.

Hard on gas, leaned body over for slight turn and then went over a manhole cover. Moved bike over 3 feet against lean. It happened so fast I didn't have time to do anything.

Ahhh Slaps. One of my favorite pieces of footage. Notice how the tank slapper is transfered to the rear wheel when he tries to fight the front and stays on the gas?

Almost same as mine. Took off from the lights and was going around a slower vehicle while on the gas. Crack in the road set it off but I held the gas steady, didn't fight it and she settled after a few good shakes. I've had a few milder ones while on the gas on rough roads but that was the worst. I've noticed it more this season because of the 15/45 conversion. Definitely gets the front lighter much easier. Love the RR.

I was hard on the gas and the front tire barely lifted enough and was a little crooked when it caught traction. For some reason I lost my front brake for a second after it was over. I had to pump the brake lever to get pressure.

Your front tire has a little bit a free play from side to side. When the tankslapper occured it pushed the pads back. That's why you had to pump them to get the pads back to the rotors.
