There is no way that anyone here payed less than $8500, and that price is questionable. I know the dealer cost, and anything less would be a loss.

I checked all across the US, and got mine for $7499 plus tax, tags, title. I cant remember exactly but all total was around $8200. But that was in Feb. Since riding weather is here, prices will most likely not be reduced. H*ll, the local dealers would not even budge off MSRP even then.

Of course you will. Factors; The weather...sure beats the seasonal weather of the south, which equals low demand in the off season months. Not to mention you have to pay for the extra emission controls that are required on your bike, just kidding on that part. Anyway, pay the price, and enjoy. : )

I bought mine in Feb. 05 for $9,300 OTD with a set of frame sliders thrown in. That was good around here at the time everyone else wanted $10,000 +. Now you can find them anywhere from $6,800-$7,500. I should have waited.

My advice if you can get a pre approval, DO IT! Just as good as cash.

I walked in with a pre approval from Honda with just the intentions of getting my wife a bike. I did this at 3 different dealerships and when you let the salesman know you have a pre approval TRUST ME they start salavating all over the place! It's just the same as cash to them, all they have to do is sale you on a bike. well at the third dealership my wife found her bike (black 05 Rebel) and the salesman looked at me and said "what can I get for you?" I pointed about 50 -75 feet away and said that one (my 05 RR). Well with 2 bikes it was over my approval and Honda wouldn't up it and my wife (sweet thing, God love her) wouldn't take hers without me getting a new one even though I had my old trust worthy Suzuki. We start to walk out and the sales man says WAIT! any way he cuts the price on my RR down to $8399 and does the paperwork up at $8,999, takes the extra $600 and puts it as a down payment on my wifes bike through Harley Davidson financial (of all places to finance a Honda). Long story but that's how I got My RR for $8,399.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but maybe around $4500. Lowsided but has a clear title. All it needs is plastic. We'll see.

Paid $7283 out the door for my '05. Southern Powersports in Chattanooga, TN. Granted, I did have to pay GA sales tax when I registered it, so all in all it was about $7800.

I know a guy that works for a local dealer where i have done lot$ of business over the years. He wrote it up as a demo or program vehicle or whatever you want to call it. Gave me his discount and some other rebate they pulled out of their a$$.....lets just say i stole it for just under 7k.Its nice to have ther sales manager and a buddy on the sales floor selling you your bike!
