Average ages?

Just curious as to peoples ages on here. Im in my mid 30s and am starting to feel like an old fart on my RR compared to other riders, but Im not ready for a cruiser yet. Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional ;).

Maybe next year Ill look into a Yamaha Warrior.

It must be the age.

I'm 33 and drueling over the Warrior, all black of course but still love the RR.

I just got the RR paid off and am not in a big hurry to get back into payments so it's probably a year or so before I look into it.

I am 36 and I think I am growing a bit to old for the RR. I have an ST1100 too and that gets ridden alot more than the RR.
Comparing the two the ST is way more comfortable. MY wrists and ass hurt after 30 minutes on the RR but the power is addictive.
I am seriously considering selling the 04 RR though.

When I do pick up a cruiser, I'm surely going to keep the RR too. Who says you can only have one bike. I may even pick up a rebel 250 for fun just because they're so cheap, and I like the color.

How can you go wrong for $3000

Growing up is optional. lol Some of the time anyways. Especially when it comes to toys.

I am 37 and hope to not grow out of a sport bike any time soon.

The Warrior or something similar would be the one to have imo. Somewhat cruiser and still has some performance to it. The v-star was my first. Nice bike but I would do it different now.

24 - the only thing I'd replace the RR with is either a motard bike or a dukes of hazard painted triumph or ducati cafe racer

It's seems to me that there are ALOT more older (don't mean old, just older than me) guys who ride RR's, it surprises me, b/c most people think only young punks ride sportbikes.

Thread jack:---------Cafe racers are pretty sweet, The Benelli TNT is pretty Kick A.

sounds like i'm the oldest so far, 48.

the rr is my second bike ever, having riden for a little under a year

i guess it's all a question of attitude, don't feel older than 25 in the head but on the other hand my little head may feel it's age.

seriously though, the way i look at sportbikes is just that, a sport, i have already been to a trackday school and it's amazing how much more enjoyable this sport can be with a little more knowledge.

hey i don't and will not play golf like my other friends...just too slow

i have made a comittment to be on a cruiser when 55, in the meantime the rr is just one great machine.

"QUOTE" - Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optionalI second that motion. I am 24 years old and got my first bike when I was 10, it was a BW80 Yamaha Bigwheel then I upgraded to a 1988 Yamaha Blaster ATV which I then traded for a mint condition 1979 RM125 which I traded for a 80's Yamaha Exciter 250 roadbike. I sold the roadbike for $100 to a buddy of mine. I got a 1996 YZ250 but traded it for a monte carlo. I have spent the last three years building a 1973 Harley Davidson XLH sporty but realized it really wasn't what I wanted so I sold it and bought the 05' 600RR which is what I have always wanted - a sports bike. I plan on keeping this bike for 2 years then seeing where I am at and whether or not I want to stick with the 600 or go to a litre RR.

20 here... The RR is my second streetbike my first is/was a 94 CBR600 F2 with 31,000 miles and still runs like a champ so I believe I may be sticking with Honda for a while lol. 4 previous Honda cars and 2 bikes now, I guess you could call me a Honda boy lol.

28 ... bought my first RR at 25 ... now have a 2004 RR (first one got stolen). Love it. Already have a crusier (Shadow Sabre - that I bought when I was 23).

My dad isn't internet savvy - but he bought one of the first RR's in the northeast when he was 52... Now he's 55 and still gives me a run for my money at track days, no joke, the man is fast.

Got you all beat , even you 57. I'll be 51 on 10/3. Headed to the track next Friday at T-Hill for my 3rd track day. I'm fighting this age thing every step of the way.

33....I'll always love sportbikes!! Eventually I wiil get a VFR or a Goldwing
for long trips, but for now,' it's the twisties that getme' ; ).
I street ride ,trackday and race with a wide assortment of guys....18,22,25,29,36,49,64.
The oldest guy at 64 is still one of the fastest... he also has an advantage at
WERA events because he can run all of the senior groups. He races 600cc,
Lightweight twins,Heavyweight twins and all senior events. He basically goes non-stop
on race weekends.

You are only as old as you "THINK" you are.

30 and I don't see a cruiser anywhere in my future. I love sportbikes. Cruisers and such don't do anything for me. I have ridden a Harley before but and while it was a nice ride, those type bikes just aren't for me. I wouldn't mind having a chopper one day, but those things are becoming a dime a dozen now.

Whoever said money can't buy happiness has never owned a sportbike.
