Post What mods have you made?

Hello, I'm new to the family as of 13 days ago (or 957 miles ago) and was wondering what most people do to their bikes.

My goal is to find out what is the most common modifications.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Not being mean or anything, but why should you care what other people do to their bikes? Do whatever makes you look at it and get a hard on. Thats why I dont bash the people who have leaopard skin or tons of chrome, if thats what makes you happy...go for it. Personally I wouldn't be caught riding something like what I just mentioned, but to each his own.

Welcome to the site by the way!

The "I wouldn't dare do that" bandwagon

People may think that an Ostrich skin seat is for looks and therefore make comments like "I wouldn't be caught dead on one of those" just because they don't want to be labeled as someone who likes that kind of stuff. But in reality, I won't go to the track without the Ostrich skin seat and my girlfriend will not get on the back of the bike without the Ostrich skin passenger seat. The reason is because of the comfort and the grip that the seats provide. So don't be too quick to jump on the "I wouldn't dare do that" bandwagon.

Thanks for caring, even though you were just wondering.. Oh look:laughing5 a kitty...

You took the back road to show how much you care about Leopard skin seats and tons of chrome (pretty funny for someone who is lecturing peeps about not caring.) Funny.. I don't remember mentioning anything about crotch_rocket_pilot. Moral of the story, don't judge a book by it's cover. You may look at the Honda seat and think, "OMG that is sexy, instant hard on. But after you sit on it it is a totally different feeling. My Ostrich skin seat may not give me a hard on when I look at it, but it sure does when I sit on it ;)

Who man, relax and drink a beer. I wasnt lecturing anyone. I could care less what people do to their bikes, I was just using leopard skin and chrome as an example. Just because I dont like it doesnt mean I think its a bad thing. It just means its not my taste preference. My comments were meant to be friendly, so chill. No reason to diss the name, hehe.

I was just playing a little Devil's advocate there...
I think it was the "why should you care" comment. He's was only asking for suggestions. Ideas to inspire his own future preference. You have to first learn about the options before you can judge which ones make you look at it and get a hard on. "why should you care" almost sounded like he's being told not to ask the question.

Sorry.. I'll go back to my cave now...

Mine spent a week in stock road trim before the serious modding started to turn it into a track missile.

Probably easier to list what's not been done now :icon_lol:

I just removed the monstrosity that was the rear fender. Not on the poll: Gregg's customs LED front trun signals, tail/brake light with integrated rear turn signals. Nothing too fancy or flashy.

God bless our fighting men and women. Semper Fidelis.
