Question Auto: Who Has Your Loyalty?

I know this is a bike site, but after a similar poll on another board, I was curious as to which automotive company you are loyal to...? Also, reply with why you chose whichever company. If the company you like isn't listed, reply with what it is, and why, because I doubt a poll like this could cover every company in the world :icon_lol:

To start, I'm a GM guy. I always have been since my first car was a POS '89 Camaro RS. It broke down a lot, but for some reason, the next car I bought was a '94 Camaro Z28. From there, I went through the GM ASEP program, and 4 years later, I'm a GM mechanic. I've been through 7 or 8 f-bodies, and a few GM trucks. I like the interior styling on GM's vehicles, and the way they handle. I work on Cadillacs, and believe that they are one of the best luxury companies in the world. GM itself may need a breath of fresh air, and cheaper price tags, but I like the direction the different divisions are going.

Alright, who's next?

As long as they keep pumping out 0% and other incentives I have to say GM.

When the incentives cease I'd have to lean toward Honda/Acura. TAcura's provide the best luxury and refinement for the money hands down.

My father-in-law is retired GM from KC. And I have had my share of domestic and import products. In fact I still own a '68 chevy truck that refuses to die. But by far the most impressive ride I've owned on four wheels for a balance of performance, reliability, comfort, economy and practicality has to be our Volvo 850 trubo. If and when this car ever dies I will replace it with another Volvo.

Cages I've owned over 20 years:
Ford: 6
Nissan: 4
GM: 2
Volvo: 1
Fiat: 1 (don't ask)

Guess that makes me a Ford guy.

I've had them all: RX-7, Accord, Maxima, Corolla, Subaru (still have two of them in the family). I'm continuing my Toyota Loyalty though with a '98 Tacoma and a '91 P/U. When I'm settled in a new job I'm going after an Audi S4.

I dont have loyality to any vehicle maker. Why should you? I say get whatever you want. I could care less which automaker I buy from, as long as the vehicle I'm buying meets the criteria I'm looking for. Same with politics. Loyalty is good in some areas in life...this is not one of them.

+1 well said. Shop around and find the vehicle that fits your needs/wants best. I have owned a 97' camaro Z28 30th edition, Ford Ranger, Dodge Ram, Nissan Sentra, Honda Prelude, Accord, Prelude again. I buy what my wallet will afford first, and what I want in my heart second.

Toyota Tacoma and RAV4. I think I will always stay with Toyota. They are just more reliable. My dad was a mechanic and there was always domestics in there. According to the recall list domestic vehicles are the worst.

I have pretty much everything Honda... lawnmower, weedeater, bike, 2 cars. I love the reliability and they don't depreciate nearly as much as some automakers. If I had a second choice I would probably go either BMW or a Yota...

I like anyone who makes a fast car. So that can be Ferrari, Lambo, Ford, GM, Honda/Ac, Toyota, Mazda, Nissan/Infin, Lotus. I dont really. SO long as it looks good and goes fast, I like and would buy it.

Notice I didnt include Porsche. Thats because I dont like Porsche. Especially after their whining about the Ferrari F50 GTR lined up for LeMans
