what's the farthest you traveled?

What's the biggest trip you took with your RR or any cycle? Last year we rode to Daytona(bike week) from Atlanta, about 10 hrs. All freeway but still had fun.

Burlington, N.C. to Boone, N.C. (3 hours)---------> Boone, NC to Asheville, NC (via Blue Ridge Parkway) about 3-4 hours------>Asheville back to Burlington, 3.5 hours

I never calculated the actual mileage, I just know that my A*S was numb for a week after that trip.

I've done the Alaska loop a few times.I leave Wasilla and travel up the Richardson highway and ride to Fairbanks and back down the Parks highway. It's around 750 miles and I do it in 2 days, spending the night in Fairbanks.

Why do the vendors want us to buy there stuff when they never have it in stock?
:book1: One thing leads to another and the next thing you know, your bike is a piece of neglected junk. :book1:

Pompano Beach, FL to Clarksville, GA. 784 miles one day. Stock 1000rr seat. I now have a corbin. That was the deciding factor.

DC to Harrisonburg (about 128 miles on the highway).

i don't know how you guys do more than 3 hours on it....it just sucks. I don't think the corbin seat would matter either since it's more of the position than the seat.

I'm planning on getting another bike for long distance rides in the future.

You must have made a lot of long stops, I could do that in about half the time.

1999 I rode from Marine Barracks 8th&I in Washington DC, to Austin, TX; then onto Estes Park, Colorado; then to Fulerton, Ca, then down to home in San Diego, Ca.

Did the ride over about 2 weeks becaus emy riding buddy and I saw family on those stops...I learned a great deal about what to pack on a ride like that and even mastered the art of fedex clothes so we could pack light.

Better yet was the ride back out to DC when I got out and got a real job. That time I have money and about a month...the three of us rocked outand hit some of the best roads in the country and saw many sites.

in 2008 I am doing a month on a scooter in Europe with a relative who is oddly enough a "big name " in European scootering..(yeah, he is weird, but it is waht he does..he has lead the Cafe Ace rally...now that is cool
