My personal opinion is neither...buying a jacket specifically to match your bike is a little foofy...but that's just me.

my impression....it's already hard as hell for some people to see you on a bike...but making it all black, jacket and all? even harder at night!!! my 2 cents!

I picked the first one, just like the look of it.....not that it matches the bike or anything. Both will look good with the bike, so I just picked the better looking one.

Not at all.

I'm all about matching helmets, jackets, leather pants, suits, gloves, boots. However, if there's a jacket or a helmet you really like but it doesn't match your current outfit or bike then screw the matching--buy the jacket/helmet.

Sort of my point, just more detailed. Like I said, it was just my opinion. I respect everyone else's point of view as well. My gloves, jacket and helmet all sorta match but I didn't buy them with the intention to match the bike.

Plus I agree with your last point. Are you buying those jackets because you actually like the way they look, feel and protect? Or are you just buying them cause you think they match the best?

some people are color coordinated and have style.. some just dont care about matching.. i wouldn't wear a red/black helmet on my blue bike, it looks weird.

i like the second one more than the first one, just because its a little different but still black.

i've never seen either of the jackets up close nor tried them on. the features i've read about them seems similar to the alpinestar spinner jacket that i have tried on. i liked how the spinner feels and the protection it had. The website that i read about both the jackets has the same protection as the spinner one so.... but i wanted a jacket that protects me and matches my bike well and i came to these two jackets but can't decide on which one.

You kidding me? You'd be flying down the street looking like Superman if you were sporting red/blue and maybe perhaps a yellow thong...and a touch of pink belly ring...and maybe some lavender nipple ring....and, and,...hahaha

both match the bike. black goes with just about any color of jacket or gear. i too like to match my gear. i got an all black RR, but visibility and safety is more important so i chose red.
but if i were to choose one or the other. id go with the black jacket (top pic).

I personally think if they can't see that big freaking light in the front of our bike, a colored jacket isn't going to matter. But I am biased, I have a black bike and a black jacket, black gloves and black boots( with a little red).... ICON Motorhead and I love it, I bought it for comfort and protection as I buy everything else..
Other: Best protection and best fit!!!!!

I just bought the HRC jacket in white 2 weeks ago. I like it a lot. The ventilation is a lot better than my previous JR Sonic 2.0, and I've already been able to tell the difference in visibility. I say go with the white version for safety. There's enough black in the jacket that it would match well enough.

Comfort is everything.. I choose this one because it has a low neck, I hate it when the jacket hits the helmet, you might be different... I would find a dealer that has them and try them on... The next one I would have gotten was the spinner...

ive seen and tried both. they are nice jackets imo. i would have to say that they felt more like an A* TZ1 more than a spinner imo. go for it, theyre both good jackets. i wouldve went for the top one. but i didnt have money at the time.

Hey SPR, Keep cleaning that jacket or it won't stay white.. You will be surprised at how much dirt and grime collects on white...

+1 one the icon motorhead. ive also tried that. its a real comfortable jacket. leather is not as tight as my A* TZ1. i mean its more flexible.
thats goin to be my next jacket in the near future. if not that...then the A* Stage jacket. that jacket is real nice too!!

I'm on top of it. I've already had to readjust my tendency to lean against things. I'm with you on the collar, also. Another reason I chose this one was b/c of having no collar. I have to wear button up work shirts to work, which is prob 99% of my riding, and it was a little too crowded around the neck with a full collar.

so the top one would be a better choice because of the no collar. That's another reason why i liked the motorhead jacket, it had no collar. I was also had a thought about the Icon Pursuit jacket, what'd you guys think about that?

I think you can also look into is it going to keep you warm/cool enough, it doesn't look like it has vents on the front besides the top with the perf leather. Sucks to be sitting in traffic and your jacket doesn't breath...

I say go with the HRC Jacket because the main color on your bike is black, so that should be the main color on your jacket. The gray sleeves is perfect for another color.

To agree with redneck girl...I have the all black RR and an all black jacket, and Ive had several times at night when people cut me off etc, becuase they simply couldnt see me. Id go with the lighter grey one.

I voted for number 2, but I am biased as well. I have a JR speedmaster in Black/Silver/White. It's OK, but I think I am gonna sell it soon for a different style with more white in it.

I wear this one (with matching pants) for when we go out "RIDING"!

And I bought this one mainly cause I really like the look of it , but I use this jacket when riding at night.(bike night, hanging downtown, going out for ice cream etc....LOL)
