I like to suprise myself, but I think the majority of the time I turn the key.

I also forget it is in gear, and drop the stand or release the clutch, both of those are kind of suprising. And, sometimes I decide to use the red toggle switch.

Just out of habit, I lower the stand. My feet barely reach the ground as it is.

usually the key. However if I'm on a hill I feel better flipping the switch to kill the motor (short legs)

Once in awhile I use the kill just to make sure it's working. Same with the sidestand switch.

I go between sidestand and kill switch. But most of the time I use the kill switch, then use the keys.

Key.

For a while I had fog lights. If I hit the kill switch and took a moment to turn the key the bike wouldnt start. Charging system deff is not ment to support more than whats on there.

Now I do it out of habit.

Okay, you have to turn the key anyway. Why not just get it over with. Kill two birds with one stone. It's best to be in the habbit of using the key because you don't end up leaving your bike with the key in the "on" position. Killing your bike by the kill switch and kickstand is great and all, but your risking leaving your bike "on" which could lead to a dead battery.

Another little known fact is that you also need to pull your key out of the ignition after every crash in order for the bike to start up again...

I turn the highbeam off, then put the kickstand down to shut it off (also to make sure that the bike is still in gear) I hit the ignition kill switch, and then turn, lock and pull out key.

i go back and forth with the kickstand and the kill switch. would any of the methods besides the key hurt the bike in any form? or does it just open up possibilities that could lead to other problems such as drained battery?
