Exclamation What kind of kicks do you guys ride on the STREET?

What do you guys ride on the STREET? Commute, Canyon Carving, Cruise, whatever... I'm curious because I know some of you say raceboots are pointless on the street where as others of you say raceboots provide the most protection.

I wear a 8 inch high lace-up steel-toe work boot for my comutes. When I do go out for an aggressive ride, I wear my race boots. I never, ever, ever wear anything but boots...Seen too many videos of guys feet hanging by the skin of their ankles.

Need an option for the Icon/Teknic casual line of riding boots. Most of those would be a cross between a full race boot and a casual boot.

For normal street riding, I have Icon Superduty boots and Icon Field Armor boots.

Same here, I use my lugs or Marine Corps Danner boots. I am going to get some race boots soon just need to let some paydays pass since I just blew quite a bit on my exhaust and some other acessories. I am also going to get some leather pants too, I don't feel too safe in jeans or cammie bottoms.

When i first started riding all I wore was sneakers. Now I wear boots...work boots, timb style, or race boots. Depending where i'm going and what i'm doing. Most of my riding has been to work and home lately so combat boots for the most part.

I don't feel comfortable without my A* boots. You will get a lot more ankle protection out of A* Supertech then you will from steel toe boots. My friend has the shattered ankle to prove it.

I used to wear tennis shoes but read/saw to many stories where peoples ankles got mangled, so I picked up a pair of sidi vertigo corsa's. Haven't gotten a chance to ride with them yet ( 10 - 15 degree's ), but I will be using them where ever I go.

I always wear my Alpinestars SMX + unless we will be stopping at a resturaunt. Then I will wear a pair of over the ankle steel toe workboots. The A*'s make too much noise to do anything but ride in, but for their purpose I have no complaints.

Used to ride in casual boots, now I can't imagine riding in anything but my sidis.

I rear ended a car a few days ago.......

The driver got out of the other car, and he was a DWARF!!

He was pissed!

He looked up at me and said "I am NOT happy!"

I said, "Then which one are you?"

Icon makes that boot that looks just like a big work boot, with high ankles and steel toes and all I like mine. It's more comfy than my A* race boots for walking around in too. Plus you don't look like homo and sound like you are wearing high heels.
