What temp do you stop?

I have some races coming through November all accross the coast. And just wanted to see what temp you guys say enough is enough.
If its below 40*F I usually pass on racing just cause. I did a track day in 36 with light sleet on and off and I saw more wrecks than wanted to ever see.

So what is you lowest temp ever and limit now?

Lowest I rode in was about 35 last december. Man were my legs cold when I got back. I would say my limit now is between 35 and 45 depending on how bad I want to ride that day.

50 is my cutoff point for trackdays. In the mornings you know better than to try and go fast as the track and your tires need to come up to temp. Plus shadows lay around longer on the tracks as you get into fall; hot and cool spots on track.

I live mid way on the east coast and will be done in September with racing. I'll still do trackdays into November if money allows.

i thought u were talking about regular riding, not racing. so opps on 44-33*F. i wonder never ride my bike hard in those conditions. that's just plain silly. riding it around town and going WOT would cause the rear tire to spin. so the coldest i'd ride hard would be i'd say.. 50ish.

As for street riding, I go year round. I cut back on the "fun" rides in colder temps but I've commuted on the bike in the teens-20s more times than I can count.

Me and Khmer have ridden, and 10 mins after it was snowing. So we ride in some pretty cold weather.

Anything below 32 isnt fun... I know one guy that has heated gloves, jacket and pants but he can go year round. I just have leathers and it sucks..

I used to ride into work at 6AM in February. My ride to work was all highway too. Oh man. It would take me 2 hours to get the feeling back into my hands and legs after that ride. I'm not going to do that anymore though because that's what killed my bike.

Damn frost on the road where the white paint stripe is.

mid to low 40s for me, anything colder just takes the fun out of it for me.

a little below 50 if there is full sun. Winter sucks. I guess we are closer than I want to think. :)

I can take anything above zero if on a sled. But I dress a little different for that.
