should I or shouldnt I?

Friend knows a friend who rebuilds bikes after a crash and then sells them, question is should I pick up this all black '05 CBRrr with 3500 miles for 6800?

mind you it is a salvage title and everything should/is like new he says

Is that a deal or am I going to go see this bike for nothing

If I sold my 05 600rr (clean title) with a few mods.......I would ask around $7000.

HELL NO! Are you kidding me? Why would you buy a salvaged bike for MORE than a non salvaged bike of the same year and mileage?

I sold my salvage bike with 11,000 miles for $3800 fixed right back up to near mint. I just didn't think it was worth anything more than that though others told me otherwise because it ran like a champ.

Eh, that's just how I saw it.

You need to check on insuring a salvaged bike before you even look at this thing. Then I would offer him half of what he wants. It only matters what the fair market value for a salvaged bike is going for. Not how much time or money he put into it.

This is true so many times people want to sell you something based on the effort and time they put into it..this maybe true with most things but not a salvage title......Why???....ITS A SALVAGE BIKE.

Last time I went to Spectrum Honda (or Motorsports) in Irvine around this time they were clearing out bikes cheap. You should give them a go.

i say its a little pricey for that price you can more than likely pick one up for a few hundred more with a clean title

NO BRAINS NO HEADACHE
The edge... theres no honest way to explain it, because thoes who know where it is have gone over..

I just got one that is totally clean w/t extras for 6000 even it has 5000 miles on it. I think 6800 is definately steep

6800 for a salvaged bike is CRAZY. You can get a clean one for that price if you look hard.

I'll sell ya a bridge too. Tell him to go "F" himself. $6,800 for a salvage title is too much.

Just checked out the bike, runs good- it is actually $6300 tax included. crack in the back plastic to the right of the seat, few scratches on the swingarm. throttle grip needs replacing. 6k miles

my only worry is that if i lay this down or total I wont be able to insure a salvaged title fully so i'd be out that money and a bike.. with that price is it still not worth it?

should i suck it up and wait til the 07s come out and shell out a few grand more?

Get away from that bike!!! Why are you buying a wrecked bike with current damage for that price?!

Are you trolling? You better not be F'n with us!
