what made you choose 600rr.net over the other sportbike forums?

What makes you come back to 600rr.net?

Is there anything specifically that you would like to see more of? (besides a nudie section)

Technical info at first for me, but this site is just cool to read through and see what people have to say about whatever. Really cool people all riding the same bada$$ piece of equipment. Can't go wrong there.

it was just the members man, a lot of boards can answer the basic n00b questions but the way you guys were all friendly and cool, and we're NOT quick to flame a mawfugga and say go search and sh!t, made me feel really good. and the setup was the bomb too. then i was hooked after that.
SO i dont knwo what to vote, cause i dont see "The friendly Members and warm welcome" on the poll.

No more mod listing, shits is STILL too long

The point of the poll is to see what attracts people to 600rr.net and find out what people would like to see more of.

Emotionally unstable-
Yes, I have made a few controversial posts on this site regarding "direction" or members that are "all talk." Emotionally unstable? I think not. You have to understand, I have very thick skin and to stick around for this long and eventually become mod is because I can deal with people. Sometimes it's a little frustrating to see the site go down hill. Mainly it's because of member content. It's what happens with a big site like this. Members are what makes this site. The more valuable information members bring to the posts, the more informative 600rr.net will be. Nobody should be here to intentionally flame on people. I'm here to help people out if they have questions and to help keep this site clean and free of spam.

Vision core-
Here are some examples from 600rr.net's founder (Jetblast10) He has a "vision core that he holds sacred" at his somewhat "new" site, www.wristtwisters.com

http://www.wristtwisters.com/forum/s...39&postcount=1

http://www.wristtwisters.com/forum/s...48&postcount=1

Foundation-
For 600rr.net to continue to be an outstanding site many years from now, it needs a solid foundation. The founder, Jetblast10, and many of his trusting friends had laid out a good foundation and that's why 600rr.net is the way it is.

Progress-
All though, the site is over three years old, it still is a fairly newer site. Additional foundation work is being done as we type to accommodate years to come.

Growing pains-
It is up to the dedicated members to keep a great site going. 600rr.net needs to grow yet keep the original "vision core" idea strong.

Member feedback-
I really would like to hear what you guys have to say regarding the site and it's direction. In the next few months this site may blow up upon the release of the 07 600rr.

What kind of ideas do you guys have to help keep 600rr.net on the right path?

Thanks for hearing me out. I'll see you at Laguna!

What he said, the welcoming atmosphere. Plus I've met some awesome and not so awesome people through this, but Im still good friends with a few and have been riding with them for a couple years. Cant pass those kind of memories up.

I am glad to see that you have been really into this website, cvlighthouse. This website has more than enough information available for all types of riders. I think one of the best things you can improve on this website is, maybe some sort of organization of posts made here. Maybe a good idea would be to make a "How to do " section for those people that have done write-ups.

For the newbs this would be a go to place for information. You always get those "whats the best exhaust?", "what is the best tire", "how do i this... that?".

Anyways.. i just wanted to show my appreciation in what you have done as well as everyone on this website to make it what it is. I am here because I love the Honda 600RR and would think twice about changing out my bike..... well maybe for an '07 ;)

So.... cvlighthouse, are you getting paid for all this research and surveys you are conducting? you sound like you have the power to be some kind of CKO of this website. hahahaha

I agree that there needs to be more sub categories for posts and mods making more stickies for FAQ's and topics that seem to come up the most. I mean, I've been here for a while, and a lot of well respected people on this site came on asking the same questions that make our heads explode, myself included, happens when you're new and come across a great deal of recourses and information. What needs to happen is a further breakdown of where the info goes so the people who dont care about it dont have to sift through it when they're looking for something else. All small issues, still a great place.

The main reason this site does so well is the maturity level maintained by the site owner and the mods. If I wanted to hear someone spout off like a 12 year old I would go hang out at the local elementary school.

That doesnt mean we cant be silly, make useless posts, or be generally unhelpfull (things I do quite often). It just means we keep the overall feel of the site above the par other sites maintain.

Why do I come back? All of the above (minus the stunts). I've also had the opportunity to meet some great people off the site (Mel, Scott, other Scott, DJ, almost Moe in Daytona although he punked out on me and still owes me a beer).

Can we change anything? Personally I like things the way they are, but I'm sure something can be done. I just can't think of anything at the moment. I've enjoyed the 2+ years I've been coming here.

My two cents...

there are some hard core post whores on here man, and then there are guys that only post when they have usefull input to provide.
then you have the guys that do both.
its awesome here, definately agree with the n00b checklist sticky, and more FAQ's we've all seen the tire and exhaust question way too many times.

either way tho, this is the best forum ive ever been on, and trust me, ive been ona few , banned from a few, .net is by far THEE best one.

Nope. I get the same deals from Flatout as you guys!

You guys have some great ideas! We'll collect the best ones and discuss making some changes around here.

r6 messagenet (in the early days) and r1-forum were top notch...then I moved from yammie to Honda, and found this place on google.

I've gone riding with lots of members from here...helped people fix their bikes, chilled with people...everyone here has the same addiction.

Ice, I cant believe you didnt mention the rides with tele, mike, disco, havoc, and me!

Anyway, Nudie sections on forums do NOT work. I had one on my forum, and it drew members, but they just looked at the porn. So I made a minimum post count and they whored it up to that and then quit posting. Off site linked the hell out of attached images to. Ugh. Not worth it, doesn't increase the value of the forum at all.

After lurking here a bit I realized it was the place for me because of the following:

- helpful info
- knowledgeable discussions about competitive racing
- great group buys and fair/honest traders
- maturity (due to the excellent job of the mods and others behind the scenes)
- stunt section (without the punks and pricks)
- locals forums
- and the funny ass clowns (I like that the humor here doesn't always have to be at another members expense)
- and a million other reasons

I like to clown on people so if I offend someone it's all in good fun.

For me, it's one of the less squidly forums around. Also, being that I was in the market for a 600RR, it was appropriate. But what kept me going is I've met some cool people here, and has fast become one of the first sites I go to anytime I'm online.

I just found this one on a search. I've asked on somethings I didn't know about and got really helpfull info from Omarvelous and Birdman. I have also had useless posts by BigTuna and one or two others that just serve no real purpose. I get that people don't like to see the same toipic talked about or posted 1000 times, but what is the problem? People are asking the questions here. They could be asking on other forums. Is the goal to be an elitest forum where only technical gurus gather to discuss quantum physics, or is this site here for enthusiasts of the 600RR. Just remember we come in all shapes, sizes, backgrounds, educations and RR use preferences. Joe might use his as a daily driver and have no use for which exhaust makes most power threads. Does that mean John that tracks his RR shouldn't post the exhaust thread because it might offend Joe? Search Nazis can really hurt a sites growth by turning possible productive members away due to condescending comments like Use the search function. It's been covered 1000 times already. In my experience it is easier, and friendlier to search for the member and insert the link with the comment like, Here is a thread with most of that info, hope it helps. I know that isn't the popular way to deal with "noob" posts sometimes, but it is certainly more user friendly. I mean when it is all said and done, this is just the internet. It won't cure cancer, or prevent someone from doing something dumb if they really have a mind to do it. JUst search crash on youtube or streetfire and you'll see what I mean.

I don't see anyone being "unstable" by asking questions that they want answers to, even if I don't like or agree with the questions. As a member here you should be able to ask if we are going to be a bling or zing type question without people getting overly upset by it. Same holds true for not searching before posting. We should all learn to take this whole bulletin board thing with a grain of salt, self included.

Hope I haven't offended anyone by stating my opinion. Yes, I know that it is only my opinion. ;-) Although I do hope it causes some to stop and rethink what they type before being snotty to members here. After all, we are all here because of the common intrest in the RR

My first really dab into sportbikes was a 2001 GSX R1000. So, I found gixxer.com a site that caters to GSX Rs. Then I got an RC51, I joined RC51.ORG, and speedzilla.com, which cater to the RC51 people.

Now, I have a 600rr, and there a some other 600rr sites, but this place is the best!!:01_thumbu

So,that's why I am here!!:icon_lol:
