New track bike or street bike?

I've had my 03 600RR for a few years now and here's the thing:

I bought it fully streeted, got hit by a car, coverted it to track but I get an itch once in a while to ride street so I made a (GHETTO) light kit for it. I want to get a second bike but I can't decide whether to build up a newer track bike or get something else for the street. I'm REALLY tempted just to pick up another 600RR, possibly salvage title, and have the fun of doing a track bike all over again. If my current bike becomes a street bike (it has a clear title) I'll probably street fighter it kindof like Cephs but not for stunting (not really into stunting at all.) The other thing is if I get a new track bike, it'll probably be a 750 or 1000 if it isn't another RR. Let me know what you guys think!

I'd get something a little different that a SS bike. Maybe a Motard or a cruiser of some sort.

personally.

Keep the 03 for the track and buy a 07 for the street. In 4 years sell the 03 and track the 07 and buy a 2011 for the street.

oops... i saw Ho0Ker and i got excited and CLICKED. my honest vote would be to get a MOTARD. I would love to have the chance to have two diffrent types of motorcycles. Good luck with the choice and post up pics when you get another bike(ho0ker)

My thoughts exactly! Why put a brand new bike on the track when you have a track bike that's already been crashed. Buy a new street bike and put a little money into the track bike.

hahaha, get the hooker, better ride then a 600 or a 1000 hahahaha. im in that situation, but im going to track the '03 and get an '06 Daytona 675 when they are more abundant and i can find one for cheaper.

I voted 600RR but would actually say get a 1000RR (for the street) and make the 600RR a track bike :)

Agreed! Street bikes and salvage titles usually don't go well together come time to plate it. At least not in CO. Go with something new, either the 600rr or 1000rr; can't go wrong with either, and keep the track bike on the track.

Thanks for the input guys - I'm gonna start looking at newer street bikes. Too many damn options though but I'm thinking any of the following:
1-2 year old GSX-1000R (eventually track it), 1-2 year old R1, KTM motard, or I might just get another 600RR though I'd probably do an 05-06 and save the money for mods.

Thanks again guys!

Get a hooker. No seriously, if you get a new bike, put the old wrecked one on the track. Keep the new one unscratched and polished and shiney. So pretty......

Winter sucks. GO HAWKEYES!!
