wear it always. I have rode without mine once and it was the most miserable ride I have ever had. Beatles and grasshoppers hurt like hell.

i wear protection to:

- have sex
- prevent hearing damage
- prevent sunburn at the beach
- prevent my brain from smashing into my skull in case of a motorcycle accident.

DOT/Snell/ECE approved Helmets are an absolute must every time I ride, no question about it.

Even if I had the choice to not wear one in California, I would anyway.

never been on a bike w/ out one, and its a good thing, had one crash, helmet was pretty messed up, no doubt it saved my life

it doesnt matter how good you are on the bike, what matters is how stupid the people around you are, you might live in a town where you can ride all night and not see a car, but then what happens when you finally encounter a car and it just happens to be a drunk driver, or just a plain stupid driver, there is just no reason to chance it, when you go down you want it on, and its going to happen, no reason to think your invincible or anything

maybe im biased about how stupid people on the road are, maybe its not so bad, but i havent been able to walk since going down on 6/11 because a stupid kid turned left in front of me, just thought he could make the turn fast enough or something, well he didnt, cracked my helmet and everything, i cant even imagine this if that helmet wouldnt have been on

In IL, when I was much younger, I didn't wear one. Now, I have kids and a wife that I want to make it home to see.

I wear one all the time now....even when watching tv!

It seems ludicrous to me that anyone would actually choose not to wear a helmet.

Well, if you hit hard enough you brain is going to hit your skull even if wearing a helmet. But, by wearing a helmet you will help keep your brain inside your skull, which is always helpful.

Always wear mine, btw

very cool. seems most of us do on this forum . i run into alot of guys that dont and well sure thats thier choice. but we have this one yahoo that comes out to local rides thats always sayin how helmets are for wussies and such. of course hes all stylin in his shorts and flip-flops too. when it comes down to it though.. protection.. its smart. i dont think it matters if someone is a wuss or not... the road dont care. itll take your skin just the same no matter how tough you are or arent haha

I don't understand why people wouldn't wear a helmet... For me it is more comfortable anyways. Also, I don't like the idea of having a fuxxed up face or brain.

I use to wear one all the time but now if I ride to get something to eat late I don't always wear it. I live just outside of town in a rural community in the middle of nowhere and sometimes only see a few cars at night... sorry "TheX" I don't think I'm a "freaking moron", though I probably should wear it all the time for habits sake. When I lived in Tulsa, OK (a much more dangerous place) I wore it everyday to work and school.

Usually it's the cruiser crowd that shun helmets. Probably because they don't go fast enough to tangle the mullet. It's just uncomfortable not wearing a helmet to me.

always wear a helmet. Obviously for safety reasons but personally I think you look like a toolbag if your not wearing one.

Word to that bro. There really is no reason not to wear a helmet. You really have to be an asshat not to wear one and even more so if your riding a sportbike. The retards on cruisers who don't want to wear one... i don't really understand why since the ones most of them wear only cover half their head so really what is so bad about wearing that or a full face helmet...

getting back in the game.

arizona has no helmet law and when i went out there every sportbike rider i saw wore one which was awesome. the only squids without helmets were the cool guys on harleys! gotta be able to show them sun glasses. i agree though, even if cali had no law id wear one.
