Sena go pro backpack compatibility.....

I was interested in getting the sena go pro backpack along with a sena smh-10 to record videos while I ride and have the ability to do commentary. Now I was excited until I read that it's only compatible with go pro hero3, hero3+, and hero4. Has anyone tried the backpack with an older model go pro? I have a go pro hero hd original and was curious if it would still work with it or not. Thanks in advance for any info....

If it worked with older cameras they would say so.

Sometimes they don't. I was just curious if someone just bit the bullet and bought it to try it out on their older go pro and if it worked or not.
