Can't believe you're going to get rid of your bike.. I'd call dibs on the rear shock but I'm not quite there yet on asking price.. Good luck with everything! Also I believe there are a few threads on here specifically for what items can be used on different years. I'd help out if I wasnt on my phone at the moment.

yea didnt think that day would came either. :( idk the track bike is getting picked up tonight i should have it thursday. if it comes in and i dont like it im just gonna flip it and if it covers new plastics for my baby ill just buy new plastics and convert mine.. but the guy im buying the bike from said he took care of it and it comes with a clean title and everything.. but new plastics (sharkskinz) are over 1k plus paint thats a lil much plus i would want a race subframe to keep that 1krr ass lol.

Your bike has a ton of stuff that shouldn't be on a track bike.

You should sell all that and make yours track only. don't use an 06.

The 07 is a better platform to start from. You already have a built one, and you can pull a couple of grand of parts you won't need on the track off your bike, that will cover the race conversion easy.

from my understanding seakas bought the 06 already. I'd say keep the 09.

If you want the wheels from 09 than just do complete swap.... There you have a nice wheel on 06 but the point of a track bike is so that if you crash you'll just ...whatever... With it. Anyway post some pics of it, even the one that the seller sent you. Congrats man

Couple k?!? How u get that?? All the plastics, lights, mirrors, rizoma grips, cf pieces, 1krr subframe i guess thats close to 2k what else am i missing? I guess u can say wheels but than i would need to but new ones too.

But than i would need new subframe 500, plastics 1000, paint 500 (that can wait but still). Wheels 700 or close to it. Fairing stay 100 or so..

The 06 that im getting is fairly base its less than 7k miles. skarkskinz plastics. Vortex rearsets, slip on and thats about it.

how do i get that?

sell your complete 1krr back end for 500 easy
sell your side uppers and mids, upper, tank cover, and lowers for 100 bucks each, there's another 800
sell your fancy headlights for 300
sell your wavey rotors for another 300
sell your fancy blinky passenger pegs for 100 no problem
sell your carbon swingarm covers for 150
sell your rizoma mirrors for 200
sell your chain adjusters for 100

that's almost 2500 bucks right there, and i'm sure there's more stuff on there that i don't know about.

ebay yourself a motoholders subframe and race stay for about 500 bucks

buy a set of bodywork for between 5 and 800 bucks

i don't see the issue here?

Wave rotors and chain adjusters dont do good on tracks? I thought chain adjusters would be handy?

Haha no. They are both essentially useless.

Chain adjusters serve no real useful purpose. It's not exactly hard to use the stock ones. The stock setup is lighter. And also stronger.

You aren't going to be adjusting your chain at a track day anyway.

Wave rotors are for looks. They don't offer an appreciable performance advantage over your stock ones.
