This is what a bike looks like in infrared

So I picked up a FLIR One for my S7 Edge. It's a pocket sized thermal camera attachment for either iPhones or Android phones. The specs say it can detect up to 120degC but I'm seeing that it actually pegs out at 150degC. The resolution and the refresh rate aren't all that great so video captures are out of the question. It can still be setup to do time lapse, however. Costs about $250 and while that may seem like a good chunk, consider that the professional grade cameras can easy go into 5 figures. And at least for what I do, this thing will probably cover at least 80% of what I throw at it.

This will be an interesting tool to see the tire, brake line, engine case, and radiator temperatures as well as others and temperature leech into the seat section of the bike from a variety of exhausts to just name a few.

Here are some shots I took after a shorty ride:

And if you ever wondered what the seat and steering warmers look like in an E92:

Hell, I had a shop owner tell me that before I took it in for inspection. Put my gear back on and went somewhere else right then.

Somewhere on the Duke videos, there's an IR video shot of M. Dunlops bike as it comes into the pits.

The tires are bright orange, and exhaust is bright yellow, IIRC.....

IR gives you some intersting info.

Thanks Lyoha!

Your chicken strips are shown in cold, dark lines of shame.

I'm such a street pro, I hang my ass far enough to drag a cheek! Leaning unnecessary. I like my chicken RAW and salmonella can kiss my ass!
