06 600rr - black - 4300 miles - NYC

Hey guys, I want an 07 cbr but just for the white/silver combo lol. So this is basically just a feeler thread. I would like an 07 for that color combo but its not a big deal really. Heres the breakdown:

- $6000 Im pretty firm with the price
- 2nd owner
- 4300 miles
- Recent oil change 100 miles ago with Amsoil
- Extras: Woodcraft clutch protector, Woodcraft frame sliders, black windscreen, Yoshi slip on, flushmounts (rear and front), CBR grips, BMC race filter (not installed), OEM rear cowl, Tripage 3rd eye LED
- Polished and waxed regularly
- Clean title in hand

Well I think thats it. I'll let the pics speak for themselves:

eh just a 0mph tip over in the driveway while I was being a noob trying to move the bike on the other side

you could tell it wasnt with any speed otherwise there would be directional hash marks...this was just a careless mistake and the clutch protector covers it up if youre really anal about it. You cant even make it out standing next to it though

^^^ I did the same thing with my black 06. I put it up for sale and expected a lot more interest, especially with all the lil mods and the extended warranty. Oh well, I ordered more for it and just decided to keep mine too!

yea dude...Im honestly very very surprised at how little interest there was. Its clean, it has the best color (imo with the red decals) and it has mods that people would otherwise normally add on themselves. Maybe its the location?

check craigslist. I've been in the market for an 03-05 CBR or R6 for the past month and most 03's for both bikes are between 4500 and 5500. 6k for an 03 is just too high. There's a guy on this forum who's selling his 05 black tribal for 7k with more mods.

Not trying to be a ****, I live in NYC too and was hit on my R6 going n/b on the FDR @ 50mph... I want another bike, but 6k for an 03 is just too high. Plus no one wants to buy when there's only about 6 weeks left of riding in the season.

^^^^ This is an 06 with a few nice mods and only 4000 miles. He isn't asking too much. He's right on point. If you're saying there are 03-05's for 5500, then asking 6k for the 06 is fair. I have the same bike and I wouldn't sell it for less than 6k because in 2 or 4 years it will still be worth 4k so with most of the depreciation gone I'd keep it... I was in same boat as redlinernyc and decided to keep mine, probably make it a track bike...

Hey bro, kinda dumb question but have you ridden the 07 yet? I liked it a lot when I saw it but then when I rode it I didnt like it as much. there is no where to put your knees and brace yourself up like on the 03-06. I have an 06 and my roommate has an 07, I like my bike way better. Even though there are some very nice aspects about the new model I like.

That is exactly why there all still for sale. 6k is a fair price for that bike for sure. When spring hits and the 09's are out your probably going to have to let it go for $5,500.

You almost never get your money out of a bike or a car.

If you want a new bike every 2 years, just don't put any money into it at all. Easier said than done...

There's still some 0 mile '07 600rrs out there for $7,500 at dealers, 0 mile '08s for $8,500. That makes it hard to get money out of any used bike.

I honestly think the 03/04 600rrs look better than any other year. Not saying they perform better, just look better (personal opinion).

Buy a bike you like, mod it the way you want to mod it, hold out as long as you can and get your moneys worth out of it, keep it for at least 5 years. If you keep it for less than that your just throwing cash away, which is fine, but it will cost you.

yep Ive ridden my buddies 07. But the reason I want an 07 is ONLY for the white. Otherwise, Im not looking for anything more than what my 06 can offer - performance wise

yep it was just a thought. If it sells, it sells. If it does I'll look for an 07 in white. If not, Im happy with what I got.

It is location. And your timing of the sale. Since it's winding down in season, I've seen some 07's go for 6500. 2 blue and 1 black.

I'm sitting back and seeing how much I can get an '07 for; otherwise I'll pick up an 05/06.

Now that is a very reasonable price for an 06'. If have seen some ridiculous numbers out there. If I wasn't looking for an 07' myself I would jump on this.

man, all these great deals are driving me crazy. i'm getting closer to moving on an RR. i know i've been saying that for 4 years or so, but everytime I think about getting a new bike i go for a ride, come back with a smile on my face and think of other things to do with my money. Lately though, its been getting harder to change my mind. I also gave the wife a riding lesson and she loved it. maybe that will play to my advantage in new bike talks. the real reason though, is that I recently made a list of all the things i would like to do to my bike to really get it fully worked/track ready and it came out to about half what these 05/06's are going for. hummmmm.....glad to see you are hanging on to it, i may have to touch base with you in March. ;)

I'll vouch for that slip on as well. Its not aprovic or Jardine but thats the last design Rs-5 and its sounds mean... its got a great sound. The new cone RS-5 are not the same, this one is way better. Good luck with the sale if you do decided to sell again and happy ridings if you decide to keep it. :)
