feeler for 2008 600rr.never tracked but almost ready for the track.

so i bought this a month ago, it was supposed to be a track bike but plans change and it has to go.the bike has 1200 miles on it only street driven here and there from work. it comes with armor bodies track plastics, galfer front brake lines, wood craft rear sets, woodcraft spools and sliders.black asv levers. it was a graffiti edition but i sold off the oem plastics. as far as a price i dont know where to start. is 11,500 a good deal?

i would start w/ the stock bikes value and go from there.
if u are on the WERA boards u might have better luck selling it quick.

was the bike wrecked and made into a track bike?
or did u just rip a brand new bike apart like i did?

Problem is 90% of people are not going to spend new bike money on a pure track bike. Though the bike is nice and has some nice additions, you can get a brand new 08 Graffiti for about 9300 OTD. Take off tax, dealer fees and such and you have a bike that is worth $8500.00 brand new that can be ridden on the street or track. Most people will tell you, you will never get extra money for upgrades, so the extra wont net you much change. Then add to that they can't ride it on the street without buying 3k in plastics and OEM parts. So basically in order for 90% of the people to buy your bike and be able to ride it anywhere like new bike could be ridden they would have to buy yours AND spend 3k to get where they would be at 8500.00 + the extras (if they even want them) and they would still end up with a used bike instead of new. I would think you are going to have to wait until someone or some company is looking for a new track bike and get them to buy it or you will be lucky to get 7k out of it. Just my $.02

wow..thats steep..i was thinking getting a graffiti but i am just going to wait for the 09...i was thinking more like $6500 for a low mileage bike...like stated it would cost quite a bit to get it up to street and if someone wants a track bike then most would buy a salvage..for 11k+ it seems like u quite a bit over OTD

I can go buy a brand new 08 for 9k OTD, sell the mint street plastics for 1000-1200, and have a 0 mile bike for <8k.

Rear sets, race skins, and levers will run me $1000 ish

So yeah..if you want to sell it, I think you gotta come down on the price QUITE a bit

actually you can get an 08 for $8200 OTD. If you aren't in California you shouldn't be paying any more. I bought my 07 last June for $7900 OTD.

Graffiti 08 $4300

someone told me to try buying a bike that was crashed w/ clean title and that's exactly what I did: I got mine through ebay-clean title; bike was crashed w/ mostly cosmetic damage and I paid 4300. Paid about another 1k and got it up and running in a week. I got lucky, but it's worth trying.
