Tentatively SOLD -1996 Honda RS 125 - Tentatively SOLD

***THANKS FOR LOOKING EVERYONE. THE BIKE IS TENTATIVELY SOLD AS OF TUESDAY 10/07. I WILL CONFIRM WHETHER OR NOT THE SALE GOES THROUGH. ***

selling my 125 =( below is the ad i placed in craigslist...

Honda RS 125 1996 with spares

I am reluctantly selling my 1996 Honda RS 125 race bike. I purchased the bike back in August of 2007 from an AFM racer and since then have only been able to ride the thing once at a track day back in September of 2007. Ever since it has been sitting at the local bike shop I managed, so I guarantee this bike is in excellent condition.

The top end has been rebuilt with a fresh new cylinder by my mechanic Fernando Vitela (formerly of LB Racing/Vitela Motorsports) back in May 2008. After the rebuild the bike went back to just sitting and looking pretty. My schedule just does not allow me to ride.

Below, I have copied and pasted the original list of spares that the previous owner sent me. Obviously the top end kit and spare cylinder is now installed in the bike since the rebuild. The VP race gas is new and bought back shortly after the rebuild.

-spare rearsets (extended rearsets are on the bike now for taller riders)

-various nuts/bolts

-top end kit w/ gaskets and o-rings

-black powdered coated spare sub-frame

-brand new battle factory front stand

-rear stand (peg style…it kind of sucks but does the job)

-clip-ons

-tach holder thingy

-tach

-Nikosil'd spare cylinder (this thing is worth at least $250 or more…I just paid $200 to get this thing nikosil'd.

-cush drives, wheel bearings, expansion chamber springs (these are important as you don't want the springs that hold the pipe on to become weak or you'll lose precious power)

-air box (I never ran this airbox because I don't think my bodywork is the right type…the bodywork I have is from Magical Racing and you CAN'T find this **** anywhere these days)

-jets/needles, etc…this is a given

i've attached pictures of the bike in action with the previous owner on it and the bike as it is now.

I am asking for $3000

You may email me at [email protected] or call me at 818 437 1237. I am unable to answer my phone during the days so leave me a message.

Thanks!

Too bad you're in CA, I'd have picked it up if you were in the MI, IN, OH, IL area. :(

I want a track bike for next year. GL on the sale.
