New to DC

Hey I just moved from Georgia to Washington DC. Does anyone know any good ride routes in Virginia or Maryland?

Been on those roads before. It can get a little hairy in places because of random junk on the road but it's pretty scenic otherwise. Careful not to go out in those parts after heavy rains too. Some roads get flooded out and leave nasty sh!t behind... Pulling bikes out of mud pits is not fun. Patuxent River, Sands Road, Governor Bridge, etc.

There are also a network of back roads between Gaithersburg and Frederick going thorough Urbana too. I can't remember the names since I typically follow someone else but they're pretty clear on the map.

Yeah it's an ancient post but hey, good roads are still good roads.
