Another Not So Great Experience ** Vendor resolved the issues **

Looks like I'm the new poster child for shitty experiences with vendors, not that I'm the only one but two straight experiences like this is just too much. Lets also note that I dealt with Tripage, GB Racing, R&G Racing, HEL Lines and Evotech Performance with no trouble at all. (HEL just had a problem with its distributor but rectified it instantly)

I will simplify the description of this one, because I really am boiling right now:

1) You wire some money to a vendor for a helmet.
2) Shortly after you discover your chain is messed up and will need replacing very soon.
3) You tell the vendor to forget the helmet because there are more important parts to order as a result. Vendor says OK.
4) Ask for prices from vendor for a number of products so I can choose some to equate the value of the money I wired.
5) After many messages going back and forth, I was fixated on 2 specific products, one of which turns out can't be shipped outside the US so after a lot of research and negotiations, the effort for that product goes out the window.
6) Finally after getting some prices I ask for a reduction with some products and am told there is no room for play at all and these are FORUM prices. Trusting the reputation of the vendor I say OK but still elect to do some research before absolutely finalizing the order.
7) I discover that I'm quoted 134 bucks for a product that is LISTED not forum quoted for 70.......
8) I discover that there are 2 versions of a product, one for 139.99 and another for 159.99. The latter is easier to install. These aforementioned prices are again LISTED not forum quoted. Guess what.......I am quoted a price of 165 for the cheaper version of the product and audaciously told that there is no room for play on it. To include everything, another product is listed at 74, and I was quoted 80.

I just sent them an email and awaiting a reply.

EDIT: Lets also keep in mind that the money is in their bank account accruing interest while I sit here waiting with nothing to show for yet.

There really needs to be some sort of way international buyers can be protected. Every purchase must be documented on here to ensure we get fair prices and fair treatment.

oversea orders.....you know when pay but you don't know when you'll get the products.
If i can i never order outside EU also if it's a lot cheaper to buy stuff from US or china; to many problems with shipping, custums and quality.
Isn't there any shop with similar products?

Oh man I can't believe it. Your luck seems much like my life lately.
Not much help but I'd suggest you get the helmet and then do what you need to do be it beg or bleed to get the chain and sprockets.
Once you send money stay on target because it's gone without paying a penalty.

Daymn bro, I hate it when ppl fk me around AFTER they have my money. So I can sympathise with how pissed you must be about this, hope it gets rectified asap; otherwise there is some naming and shaming to be done imo.

I will hold the name of the vendor until I see what their response will be, which should be very soon. I expect immediate resolution quite honestly because this order has been taking forever to finalize. I appreciate the support guys, I just can't understand why some vendors make life so hard for customers sometimes. What is the problem with just conducting business fairly??? What if I didn't do the research, and ended up being screwed for whatever te amount is. Is this how vendors generate loyalty or word of mouth???

EDIT: The other vendor who tried to screw me over has already been revealed in my other thread as I promised, since not only did they make my experience shitty and raised their prices on me after receiving my money, but they also didn't package the most expensive product in the package properly which resulted in scuffed rearsets.

Salam Aleukoum ya basha
I really understand why you are boiling and you got every right to the best course of action is to stick to the original order every time no matter what . Vendors usually do not like changes along the way setting motion to get an order going takes time and sometimes it's not smooth either so going back and forth making changes pisses them off but that is not a reason for them to sell an item for more money that another vendor while assuring you that their price is the best their is & the cheapest when in reality it is not .

What you need to do in cases like that is ask them to match prices and hopefully they will oblige . Wiring the funds usually puts you as a buyer under the seller's mercy cause they already have your funds and you got to negotiate their terms to get what you want .

I am sorry that you feel deceived was it intentional I really do not know at this point if the resolution offered does not please you stick to the original order and go ahead and buy the other stuff you need from the cheaper vendors . I know that might put a strain on your mod funds or you might have to wait cause you simply do not have the funds but that is way better than being over charged for such needed items .

The chain will not get any worse than what it is now so time is on your side in that scheme of things if you know what I mean so you can wait rather than paying that much extra

If it doesn't challange you it won't change you

Re: Another Fu.cking Great Experience

I actually did look up a lot of vendors Moe when I wanted to get the helmet and he gave me a good price. Then I realized I'm better off buying more important stuff and he only said he would make sure if my size was in stock. The order was not finalized as I was still considering visors and stuff. He also enticed me and asked if I want anything else so he can consolidate shipping to be one order. Anyways he said OK and I sent messages asking what he had to offer? He gave me the best price on the helmet and I thought he would do the same with the other stuff. He also assures the lowest price....so what the hell?

I will keep you all posted...

I'm again assuming it's not us since I haven't heard from anyone around here about this.

I don't get why you're having such bad luck. I deal with international people all the time. We shipped 55 international packages this morning.

I typically use PayPal for international stuff, only using wire transfers for the huge orders (luckily I've got two of those going right now).

You might have stated in your other thread but why don't you use PayPal?

Try and set up a pay pal account it will make such transactions way easier for both parties buyer & seller

Well first I don't get how you were sold a product for more than the website pricing. Either way, I'm not understanding the whole "there's is a $70 one and and a better $more one". I'd need all the details before I tried to solve this mess.

I'm still not sure how you haven't ordered from me yet. You realize that I don't mess stuff up and I give good prices right? Unless you're just cursed and all your orders are going to have problems, then maybe Corey can help you next time.

What was the verdict with PayPal?

I think I'm cursed when it comes to buying at STG. Anywhere else on the internet I can buy anything, but its a no-go at STG, system always kicks back my card because of an "address" error. Todays attempted purchase of a Power Power 3 rear tire drained over $700 from my bank account. Not blaming anyone or saying its anyones fault, but I think STG has a one-of-a-kind billing system. Phil is taking good care of me though!

American business accounts typically don't accrue interest. While it is possible, it is very unlikely to be the case.

They were banned under RegQ until 2011.

I really don't think he was being serious about that. I think he's just trying to prove a point. The company has his money and he doesn't have what he ordered.

Even if it was getting interest I doubt it's worth mentioning. I mean, put 3k in a savings account and you'll be rich in like what 987349857395873434753987345 years?

I hope you get it worked out man. If it's a vendor on here try sending them a pm. Like Jason, I'm a bit confused on the pricing thing though

@Jason (SBTG) and Corey (MotoMummy):

The exact details for one of the pricing issues:

GIProX listed on SBTG for 139.99
GIProDS listed on SBTG for 159.99

I was being sold the GIProX for 165.

I will try Paypal again, it was a long while back but can't remember the exact verdict.

Re: Another Fu.cking Great Experience

I have finally resolved the issue with the vendor. We came to a mutual agreement and even though I don't see a reason for the situation to have gotten this frustrating and down right nerve wrecking, I have decided to keep some good faith by not disclosing their identity and show the vendor that there are great customers out there that should not be crossed. If the day comes and I order something from the same vendor, I would expect nothing but stellar service. If however this doesn't occur, or if any forum member were to rightfully and justly complain about this vendor in the open, I will divulge their identity. It is only fair to the members at that point.

Finally, a gargantuan thank you to Moeman for his support and for always being there for members when they need him.

Sometimes the website gets picky about addresses. Over the phone I can turn off that address verification. Stop calling Phil, hit me up man! You see Phil on here rubbing everone's backs when they have problems and answering people's questions? HELL NO.

Okay, thanks for the clarification. I still don't get how all these weird situations keep happening with you. Did you cover the wire transfer fee or did the vendor cover that? We make next to nothing at that price on the X types.

Okay, thanks for the clarification. I still don't get how all these weird situations keep happening with you. Did you cover the wire transfer fee or did the vendor cover that? We make next to nothing at that price on the X types.

Actually I'm in the position to make you a bunch of money. I have a trunk full of money over in Zimbabwe that I only need $1000 to ship (heavy, full of money). Send me a certified check for $1000 and I'll split the money that's in the trunk with you.
