Looking for some new friends in STL. Anyone in the Saint Louis Area want to go on a cruise sometime now that the weather is warming up?

Welcome to .net, I'm new here too. Congrats on the new bike, I have no doubt youll love it. Like seanO said, there's some pretty decent roads around here in Rolla. I live in Rolla myself, but if I venture your way I'll give you a heads up, I'm always up for a good ride on a new road.

Rolla isn't too far from me, but what roads would be good, and heading where for a good ride?

Whenever you guys want to ride, just let me know. I tend to like going west on 94 or Highway T. Out by Washington there are a lot of good country roads.

I'm kind of waiting until the next day when it will be 70 degrees or so to go on a nice long ride. Is anyone interested in meeting up?

Looks like i'll be out and about tomorrow. Long as my small coolant leak doesnt get any worse.... i think its coming from my thermostat housing seal that i'll be tearing into within the next few weeks.

Anybody local every taken off their throttle body? Could use some tips... or a hand if anyone is free. I'll provide the beer....

The most I've ever done is take off my air box and fuel tank to replace my throttle cables on the tb. Never actually taken off the tb. So I'm not sure how much help I'll be but I'm always game to help with a service project lol.

Welp you've done more than I have.

Looks like the leak has stopped itself for now. I have a feeling it's because during the cold the seal dried up and expanded causing the leak. But it's sealed itself back for now ... needs to be done eventually anyway

Ya it looks like by the 10th we should have 60 degree weather. Debating if I should take my bike out of storage. The problem is the lows are still hitting low 30 degrees and I don't have a garage at my apt.

I used to keep my 500R under cover in the subzero temps, probably didn't do very good for it but I was new to the thing. I'm planning on keeping mine up til maybe the 14th or so, unless there is a weather revelation.

Ya no kidding but I definitely agree. I'm thinking maybe in April we could meet at Castlewood or something. Have a bbq and then go on a 3 hour cruise or something
