Now that I have the Honda stickers where I wanted them, it was time to get down to business.
I called my buddy who does decals and signs for a living, and he owns Ace Custom Graphics (www.acecustomgraphics.com
) and told him what I was doing, and that I wanted some graphics put on it. He says no problem, and the planning begins. It only take a couple hours to pick out everything that I wanted on it and my buddy Mike did an exceptional job at helping me out. He even came over and put the decals on!
And for a decent price, I got me some cool stuff! PM me if your interested in graphics for your bike and I'll let you know what I paid, which he will pass on to you as well
So the theme. What am I gonna do? A little back story....
I was in a major crash back in September. Some of you remember, some of you don't know me and don't know about it. But for the people that were there for me, and helped me through my life changing event that almost cost me my life, I decide a simple "thank you" wasn't enough. So I decided that putting together a bike that says Thank You will be a cool thing to do. So here they are are.
You will see the number 923. What is 923 you ask? I went down on a group ride with my close friends around Lake Berryessa in California on September 23, 2007, so in honor of that (call it a bad omen if you want, but I think its a good omen) I decided to have the number 923 to represent that date.
Now for the Thank You's. If your name is on here, Thank You!
(The user names are from BARF [Bay Area Riders Forum]). I also have "In Loving Memory of Kari Woodward." Kari was a very close family friend of mine who passed away the Friday before Christmas last year, and she is very dear to my heart, and I wanted her to be on here as well and a Thank You for everything she has done for me.
This decal has a big meaning to me as well. After my crash, my two brothers (Phillip and Cameron, Phillip is older, Cameron is younger) decided we wanted to get a tattoo together that is the same thing, to represent the closeness that we share, and here is the tattoo
Sorry for the soft porn, I am in the middle:
Since we decided to get this tattoo after my crash, I decided to put this on the bike, and Mike hooked it up, and it look amazing:
As you can see in the picture, the Blue in the middle is not a 23, but a calligraphy B, for Brittain, which is my last name. Under the B, you can see the intials P R C in lower case. That is the first initials in our names. I like it......
Anyway, on to some more.....
