Well some friends and I usualy get together the end of september and take a ride through northern wisconsin to check out the national forests, some hiking, kayaking and all the gorgeous fall colors.. This year we took a trip into the U.P. and put on about 700 miles over the weekend. My girlfriends father Owns a Very reputable resort in Minocqua Wisconsin so we ended up staying there on our ride. heres the link if anyone wants to check it out http://www.driftwood-lodge.com/
2 breakdowns from an early 80s kawasaki that came along.. He broke his chain after we got into Minocqua to drop off our supplys at the resort.. we got lucky and there is a well known shop called "CYCLE EXCHANGE" that builts cafe racers and other various custom motorcycles/parts.. he had a chain for us and opened up his shop on saturday to help us out. The same bike also had a flat tire, apparently from a loose valvestem lol..
THe HIGHLIGHT of the trip was a $50 Vance and Hines slip on that got its redneck award from me with an install to get it home as we had no room for it.. It went on a 900RR and the pictures will show you my buddys redneck abilitys :).
