The Dragon bit my ASS!!!

Well my first run to the Deal's Gap this season put my bike in the hospital. I was coming out of a corner and got fixated on some pea gravel and down I went. I bailed and let the bike go down a cliff and I slid on the road for about 50 feet. I had full gear on and didn't have a scratch on me, just a tiny little bruise on my hip. SO, the bike is missing headlights and fairing and really isn't that bad. Hopefully I can get some used fairing from someone. :D

USMC 600RR, the funniest part about a wreck is that you put eveyting into clear perspective when you realize you are ok. Bike parts can be replaced. When you stand up with 10 fingers, it is quite the relief.

Signatures are stupid.

when I wrecked I smilied the entire day, because you are just so glad to be alive and unhurt. At that point the condition of the bike it mute, because you are walking around.

I remember jumping around once I got out of the ditch I landed in, just thankful to beable to move, etc;.

the infamous tree claims yet another peice of plastic!

someone whould write a story about all the parts hanging from that tree.. Document all the names and machines that the parts came off from.. it would be interesting...

That is why we get full coverage!!! As long as you can walk away from that, wait your 30 days for your check and get another one, yellow of course

If you can afford full coverage again after a wreck...
Were you riding really fast or was the gravel the only reason you wrecked? I wanna go to Deals Gap so bad I'm trying to get a trip together with some of my freinds this year. Glad you're not as broken as your bike...the good thing is that now you can get the black fairings and have a better looking bike!

That tree pic is hilarious. It's like a shrine! Glad you came out of it okay. Thats the one thing that freaks me out man....whenever I take a corner fast and I know if I fall my bike will plummet anywhere for 50 to 100 feet.(Me too for that matter!!)

Man... I hate that for you! I was at the Gap yesterday too, riding the black CBR with the Cortech luggage on the back and wearing Black/Grey A* gear. We talked for a couple of minutes there at the store about my clear blinker covers and just as you and your buddies were about to head back out - in the direction that had some gravel... I guess you'll need more than just the LP short stalks now...

Sorry to hear about your incident and glad you're o.k. We left the Gap because of that gravel and hit the Cherehola Skyway, which was absf*&^kinglutely incredible!!

Hope your bike gets well soon!

Mike

Glad your okay bro...I know I didn't have that same smile whenever I felt the pavement. Of course I also only had on a tank top and shorts. Way to be prepaired. Hope everything works out with the new plastics, etc

So, how bad was the damage? Are those forks still ok? I think I'd let the insurance take care of it. Glad your O.k.
