A smartass like this tried this with me a couple months ago......he ended up getting dragged out of his vehicle and found himself in a meeting with the pavement.

Life lesson for him.

If an agent has PC to search your vehicle. Don't pull the "Am I being detained? Am I free to go?" bullsh!t. And don't start reaching around your vehicle.

If you think your 4th amendment rights are being violated. Take it up with an attorney later.

Are you serious? Its power hunger pricks like you that give cops a bad rep. This is one of the reason so many ppl are carrying cameras around. What exactly is prob cause? Prob is half of you dont even know the laws you are supposed to be protecting. I dont care what happened in that video. I dont even care what the person did to you, your statement describes just the kinda of cop you are.
And if you think you are right, then please let me know who your IA is and I will gladly forward how you are bragging about throwing someone on pavement on a forum. Sick

Oh if that camera was not there i'm sure they would have "found" some kind of PC. B/c cops never make up stuff to get ppl in trouble that just made them look like the idiots they are. Funny how these ppl are paid to protect the laws and they don't even know them

I don't like you or your kind. I try to give law enforcement the utmost respect right off the bat in every encounter but its attitudes like yours that only re-enforces my distrust. Respect my rights and I'll respect your profession, "Lawyer up later" is bullsh!t and you know it. I've had good encounters and bad encounters and you're the type I hate to run into. Your statements are the proof and validation that you're not to be trusted

Worst part of that video is:

"Am I being detained?"
No.
"Am I free to go?"
Yes.
*continues to try and open the door

I'm not a cop.

If you think I'm gonna let somebody reach around inside a vehicle I have a k9 alert on you are mistaken.

It's not all roses out there son.

The bad guys out there use this crap like shown in the video to get law enforcement to either back down or get distracted enough to get the upper hand on them.

I prefer to be judged by 12 than carried by six.

I don't really care if you trust me. I care that you obey a lawful order. An order I won't give unless you earned it.

You've got me all wrong. But that's ok.

So then what are you so I know what to dislike?

Fact is law enforcement is a dangerous profession and no one made any officer go through the academy and accept the job. I show my respect knowing this and I've had situations where respect was returned and many more where it wasn't. The fact that there's bad people out there doesn't mean you can disregard MY rights until you have determined I'm a threat or you have probable cause.

You know if he just respected them and wasn't doing anything illegal he would have been off just fine. It is ******* likes this that cause **** and make some cops look bad( not saying there aren't bad ones on their own). I get pulled over I respect an officer I don't fight with him I'll just be making it worse for myself. This guy is a dumbass.

He was lucky. If over here, the occupants of that car would have been shot at by a swat team, then beaten.

The video doesn't show enough to decide if be knew his rights. It shows that those cops were scared of a camera. Sad. If you are acting within your authority there is nothing to back down from.

The video shows plenty obviously if they had any real reason to be harassing him they wouldn't of left without having him in custody... 8 cops showed up for no reason but to try and intimidate him and press a fake issue that they failed at.

As do I, but what do you do when that doesn't work? Ever been forcibly removed from a vehicle and handcuffed and placed in back of a cruiser for greeting the officer and politely asking for the reason for being pulled over, only to be let off with a warning? All I ask is to have my rights respected in the first place and not have to go to court to see who was right. Is that asking for too much?

Like I said if you think what you did was right then where do you work? You are right its not all roses out there, but last time I checked in this country you get to choose what you do for a living. So if its so bad and scary out there that YOU choose to violate the rights of the ppl you swore to protect then maybe its time you pick another profession. Like I said have the cops out there dont even know what laws they are protecting besides what they read off that sheet of paper, so just b/c YOU say something does not mean its a "lawful order". the problem is you guys dont like ppl that dont put up with your BS and actually know their rights b/c that means you have to do your job the right way which causes you more work. I know cops and I've never heard them say anything like you did, and they put their lives in danger too. You bragged about hurting someone, dont try to back peddle now. And since NOOOO ONE should move inside a car would your actions be the same with a lil highschool girl b/c you never know these days, well if not then why are you profiling. You know how many dirty cops or just crazy ones there are out there, I dont care what badge you got on.

Not everyone has the nerves and mentaility to be a cop and by your comments I think its time for you to retire.

There are two main groups of power hungry sickos here, the smart ones that join politics and the idiots that join law enforcement.

Exactly. There was a big new story here couple months ago. Cops yanked this woman out of the back of the cop car and beat hurt. All caught on dash cam. Luckly for them this woman must have been uneducated b/c all the cops got was a 2 week suspension. Please tell me what threat a handcuffed woman poses that gives the right for 2 cops to beat her???

Politics? Ha. Pencil pushing pussies.

You think you have a right to stay in a vehicle I have PC to search? Wrong. I ain't back peddling son. Nor am I saying its scary. It's a lot more fun than sitting in an air conditioned office everyday.

Didn't brag about hurting somebody. Didn't ask the guy if it hurt.

You go reaching between the seats when an agent is telling you to exit the vehicle as you refuse. See what happens. I'm not gonna wait around to see what comes up.

OK, so what is it you do? Not a cop but apparently you deal with suspicious people. If you feel there's a threat do you repeatedly pull on the suspect's door handle while admitting he's done no wrong?

You're defending something that didn't happen in the video and I get the feeling you're one to jump to conclusions. The gentleman in the video may have acted like an ass but I doubt you'd act any different in the same situation, especially considering your mystery job that sounds like law enforcement.

I wasn't referring to just the video but the scenario I gave as example.

What I do and where I do it isn't public knowledge.

Unlike desk jobs, there are certain organizations that don't particularly care for my K9 and I and would pay a sh!t load for my info.

Like I said, it's not all roses out there.

Wrong, just because you see/watch one person in a group do something wrong don't subjugate everyone in that group to be like that person and be the same way.

There are many great cops out there and they don't need to be thrown down with the bad apples like you just have done.
