I dont think they are against riding. i think they are riders themselves, doing their part to ensure we all realize the risks we take just by hopping on, let alone do something beyond our abilities.
I've known two riders who died on their bikes. one was drunk and hit a median on a milwaukee freeway at an estimated 110 mph. no helmet. dont think that wouldve helped anyways. the other got hit by someone else as he was leaving his driveway.
its not me i'm afraid of, i know my limits, its everyone else.
