And we wonder why we as Sportbike riders have such a bad reputation.

BuzzKillington

I've done plenty of hooligan antics in my 2+ years of sportbike ownership. Surely you have too?

I'd say this ride was pretty mellow compared to the group rides I've been a part of here in Memphis with younger kids on not as nice of bikes lol.

As long as you aren't interfering with traffic or stunting around innocent people on public roads, have at it.

I'll say I wish more group rides were like this (where I live, anyway). I didn't see anything like what I'd call hooligan. A couple of low speed short wheelies on open road is fine. Everybody was wearing gear, being courteous, and most importantly, having fun and not bothering anybody else (cagers). The group rides I've been on, unless I'm leading, turn into competitions of stupidity, which is when I go my own way. I'd ride with OP's kind of group any day.

This group is all about riding your own ride and strongly encourages full leather. They are great folks.
I never wondered why sport bike riders get a bad wrap... it because: Speeding, hooliganry, and wheelies.
