The FDRx3000's stabilization is unreal -

I've probably mentioned this a million times now lol, but I love the optical stabilization of this camera. Only wish though it had more manual controls like on the gopro or the DJI drone cameras.

Here's a quick vid from last wednesday!

Impressive. For a moment I would've believed it was mounted on a gimbal. This is one feature sorely lacking in the GoPro.

Btw, I love the XSR! Been contemplating getting one

Well, don't make a decision yet guys, Yi is coming up with their latest version. Yi 4k+. I'm looking to do a comparison with the fdr and see how it does (once i get the yi lol). Supposedly it has upgraded everything inside (better processor, blah blah blah), but the one thing that caught my eye is that it can do 4k 60fps. Or 4k30fps with electronic stabilization. The gopro5 has EIS, but not on 4k. I'm also curious to see if the YI has better low light performance now with the new hardware.

I pasted another video where you could see the gimbal like effect of the FDR when compared vs a non stabilized camera (they were both mounted on the same metal piece i had that I was holding over the sunroof lol)

wow that stabilization is nuts! I am not really going for 4K I think its a bit overkill... I would be just fine with 1080 @ 60 with nice low light and image stabilization.

I'm just gonna wait for this Yi comparison then!

I was looking at the Yi 4K too. No optical image stabilization though. EIS is ok but it won't be supported at the highest resolution setting.

I think the Revl Arc would be perfect for moto:

Never heard of this camera before,I'm gonna have to check it out!

As for the Yi, they're actually coming out with a new model. It's called yi 4k+. This new one will have EIS at 4k (compared to gopros EIS on anything but 4k).
