HELP! - twocustom - any texas members know him?

Anybody deal with him in the past? Still waiting on a set of plastics I sent payment for on Mar 24th. He says he owns a bike shop in Flower Mound TX called Outlandish Cycles (came up as Matrix cycles on my statement). He was real good with communication thru email, sent pics and we had several calls through his business line, but as soon as the payment got sent that all stopped and I haven't heard from him since. I've sent PM's, emails, and called leaving a couple messages. Has not picked up any calls or returned emails. His last activity on the forum was April 11th, so I know he's still around. I hope I didn't get scammed, but if any members in texas know of him or the shop I'd definately appreciate any help getting in touch with him.

Here is the info I have:
Chad Allen
Outlandish Cycles (Matrix Cycles)
1313 Rustic Timbers
Flower Mound TX 75028
Business: 214-223-9627
Cell: 972-786-4702

Thanks,
Dan

When you say statement, it sounds like you used credit card. If he can accept CC's he should be legitment.

If this is the case, call him up or email him notifying him of your plan to initiate a chargeback with your CC company. If it's Paypal you can do something similar.

Goodluck!

I paid him over $900 for a motor in March that still hasn't arrived yet either. and the last I heard from him was April 9th promising to have the motor to me that week (for the second time). I get not replies via phone or email either.

Except I thought his name was Chad Walden.....like the book store Walden.

That's about 30 mins from me. I've never heard of the place, and I hear about a lot of shops, but it might just be a resell shop type of thing. I'll see if I can make a little trip to see what the bldg looks like, but it may be a week or so, just fyi.

That would be cool. I did a look-up on anywho.com and there is a listing for a Glen Walden at that Rustic Timbers address. So that may be a good lead.

I sent a "demand letter" yesterday. Basically the first step in small claims court. If I don't recieve a refund by the deadline I asked for I'll file a claim along with a copy of the letter.

Tornado - I hope everything works out for you. This guy is a total scumbag

I should be able to get my money back through my credit card company.

SPR - if you do have time to stop by that would be cool. Not sure what you can do exactly, but hopefully his shop or home address are right. If I lived anywhere near him I would handle it myself.

Who wants to road trip with me to pay mister Chad Walden, or whatever the hell his name is, a visit? I need to take about $900 worth of ass whoopin out of him.

edit....I contacted the Flower Mound police regarding this dirt bag. They said I was the 9th report on him to date. If you've had any dealings with him stop now before you send money or if it's too late contact the Flower Mound police. The case is getting big enough they are turning it over to the FBI.

The latest

Just got an email from the Flower Mound police financial crimes dept.

Quote:
I don’t know if you have heard yet or not. Chad Walden died in a motorcycle accident last week. We are currently obtaining the documentation surrounding the death. Any open criminal cases will be cleared, as there is no suspect to prosecute.

He can possibly get the money from his estate. In NC the attorney handling it must put a notice in the Newpaper requesting anyone with a claim against this fella to file it with his/her office.

Any of you that are owed money by this guy need to contact a lawyer now that he is dead. You will need to file a suit or claim against his estate, if it is worth that to you.

I never dealt with the guy, but as I was reading through the thread I was thinking that something probably happened to him. Some other people were saying that they had no problems with him in the past, so I figured it was odd that he would just vanish for no reason. Anyway, good luck with getting some cash back now...Hopefully it works out for you guys that lost some dough!
