Fuel in the Pipe

Friend of mine parked his 02 600 in his garage 18 months ago. After a new battery and gas drained and replaced it trys to start but dumps a bunch of fuel into the header.

Any suggestions?

Thanks Knightslugger. The bike did run just fine prior to being parked. Could a pair valve problem cause this?
He said after trying to start it he smelled gas, he removed the muffler from the collector and said gas poured out from both.

that's a lot of fuel. how long did he try to start the bike? 5 minutes?! poured out you say.

that's not good. not good at all. PCIII or a PAIR valve ain't gonna help then (wish people would give the whole skinny, not just the short version).

what else was done? What has changed since it last worked? sounds like he's not getting spark... or at least no ka-boom. and by o2 do you mean CBR600F4i?
