Question Steering.

my motorcyle rides good until a come to a stop and press my front brake thats when my handle bars seem to move slightly foward by about a half of an inch. it affects my turning because when i press on the the brake lever my handle bars jerk forward a bit. im really unsure of why this problem is happening but it seems to be a real concern with my riding. anyone able to diagnose this issue?

Put your front brake on and try to rock the bike back & forward. If you hear a knocking at your triple clamp it's your steering head bearings. If your bars are really moving 1/2" don't ride it until you get them re-adjusted or replaced.

that's not an adjusted - that's a replace if it's moving that far - also check this, if someone wasn't paying attention the upper head pipe inner bearing might be laying in the valley of the outer instead of on top the race as Honda(God) intended - either way if it's moving that far something is seriously wrong, don't ride it in that condition

you sure it's not the clip-ons that are moving half an inch?
