Another noise - but different

On my ride home today I noticed a funny scraping noise coming from the front end. I don't hear it when I am accelerating, or if I engage he clutch and let her cruise... It just sounds like something is scraping, like a brake would on a mtn bike... however, that doesn't make sense why it would only be when I let off the throttle... Any ideas????

Without hearing it myself, but from the way you describe it...it just sounds like brake noise.

Is it like a "wooshing" scraping sound?

You probably dont hear it during acceleration or cruising because of the engine noise, but when coasting off the throttle the engine is quiet enough to hear it.

Just my guess, maybe others will have a different idea.

Sometimes you can catch a piece of gravel / stone between the disc & caliper.
Put the bike on a stand & spin the front wheel to determine which side the noise is coming from. It it makes no sound when spinning then its not that....:icon_lol:
